On this day 38 years ago, seven brave explorers were lost in the Challenger shuttle disaster.

The Challenger crew of the STS-51L mission included Francis R. (Dick) Scobee, Michael J. Smith, Judith A. Resnik, Ronald E. McNair, Ellison S. Onizuka, Gregory B. Jarvis, and Christa McAuliffe.

We honor their legacy everyday by continuing their mission to inspire future innovators, creators, and explorers.
