Each month, Kona Ice will be visiting Bigelow Hill! By purchasing Kona Ice, you’re helping to support our school (thank you!) and providing a treat for your child.

Please consider the pre-pay option for the year as it will make everything a lot smoother.

Flyers will be coming home soon, but feel free to get a jumpstart on placing your order online! All orders should be placed online ahead of the listed date. If you need to send in cash, that is acceptable as well but the preference is online.

Our first visit will be on September 10th! This will take place over the student's recess time. They will eat lunch and then get their Kona Ice afterwards at recess. Use the QR Code and you will need the Event Code. This Event Code is for the September 10th Kona Ice day only. Each month, we will send out a new flyer with a new code and the date.

Congratulations to the Crates-Miller Administrator of the Year, Bigelow Hill Elementary School Principal, Kyle Mansfield.

Kyle provides consistent communication, wise guidance, and the gift of professional trust to his entire building. According to his staff, he is the “biggest advocate for students, and knows that students always come first.”

One nomination stated that he “spends countless hours towards proactive steps and small details to ease the burden on his staff. He demands a culture of Trojan Excellence and demonstrates this for his students and staff. He makes everyone feel valued, heard, and appreciated.”

One of his staff members wrote that he has changed the atmosphere of the entire building, because "the strength of the team is in the strength of the leader.”

We are so proud to have you in Trojan Country, Mr. Mansfield!

Some pictures from our Quarterly Celebration yesterday. I don’t think I got everybody for every award. But we are so proud of all of the hard work and dedication this school year!

Our 5th Grade Clap Out and Family Picnic were a great way to spend part of our last day of the school year. Thank you to all of the families that came out this week!! Good luck in Middle School next year to our now 6th graders. We will miss you!

Another beautiful day today for our 4th grade Family Picnic!

Our staff and students have worked so hard this year. We thought they needed a surprise to celebrate their hard work and success. Our State Test scores have shown great growth and we are extremely proud of everybody! We celebrated with some cake, cookies, popsicles, staff vs student races and an extra long recess/extra field day afternoon. It was such a great time! Here are just a few videos from the day! Our 4th grade winners of Cupcake Wars at The Baking Company today. So cool!

Another congratulations goes to Khloe, Kira, and Katelyn for winning this year's 4th Grade Cupcake Wars! Call The Baking Company to place an advance order of their award-winning cupcakes! 419-422-3863. Bigelow Hill's winners will be featured Wednesday, May 15th (tomorrow!). Yum!
