Our last 2 Leaders of the Week have enjoyed lunch with their families and our skeleton friend, Steve! 😃😃

We had the awesome opportunity to have Mrs. Kirkwood as our guest speaker about our ❤️ this week! We also had so much fun making life-size bodies of ourselves! 💀

I wasn’t able to get many pictures, but we actively enjoyed our 1st grade Fable Olympics! Ask your “Smartie” what their favorite fable or folktale was and why. Next week kicks off our 2nd Reading unit of study, the Human Body! 📚

Time to celebrate!!! 🥳 We achieved our goal of sitting and focusing on enjoying our favorite books for 10 minutes straight! This can be quite an accomplishment for a classroom full of 6 & 7 year olds. 😉 They voted on McDonald’s and a Movie…coming soon, before we set our next Classroom WIG!

Congratulations to this sweet little leader! She has been a big help and friend to our new “Smartie! She can be counted on to do the right thing even when no one is watching. Keep up the amazing leadership! 💛💙

We loved celebrating this sweet “Smartie” as our first Leader of the Week! We enjoyed lunch with a couple of friends and her dad, shared pictures of her swimming accomplishments, shared her build a bear, and she enjoyed a popsicle from our principal as a treat on Friday! Keep up the great work! 💗

Miscellaneous fun! We continue to use these times to reinforce habits like seeking first to understand, and then be understood, synergizing, and being proactive. 💛💙💛💙

The “Smarties” have been working hard with our letter formation, stretching words out, finger spacing, and much more! 📝

This week we have learned about and taken the placement tests for 2 chromebook games called Math Fact Lab and CKLA Boost! During their “May-Do” time they also enjoy abcya and pbskids! 💻

This week for math, we spent a lot of time skip counting by 2’s and 5’s, making graphs and charts about popsicles, reviewing tally marks, and of course enjoying twin pops together! 🌞🥰

Taco Tuesday was terrific! We read, sang, danced, colored, and continued to get to know one another! 🌮🌶️💃🏻🌮🌶️💃🏻
