A farm update before things get crazy around here 😂

Tulip Extravaganza Mid March on the farm is cold and hopeful. Plants are coming back to life, the grass is green, but snow and ice are definitely still happening.

My flower friend from White Willow Farm is now offering educational farm visits for kids. Such a cool opportunity for students and families in the Findlay/Arlington area! 👩‍🌾🪿💐

A week ago, I had asked some local facebook mom groups if they were interested in coming out to the farm for some classes, story time, etc. this summer, and the answer was an OVERWHELMING YES!!!

In response to this, I have been diving down research on making this an amazing experience for all. I have talked to several mothers making sure that what I scheduled and planned was something that was going to be appealing, and I think what is in the line up is a great start to something big.

Here is what we have to offer:
Once a week farm visit.

Morning On The Farm:
Sprouts (Ages 2-5)
The Whole Flock (All Ages)

We welcome all little farmers ages 2-5 to help us with our morning routine of feeding the animals, checking for eggs, and prepping for the day. Rain or Shine, there is always plenty to do at the farm. (Parents must attend with little ones.)

4 week class

Kids Homesteading 101: Ages 8-16

Learn what being a homesteader is all about in this 4 week long class focusing on what it is like growing animals, produce, flowers, and herbs. We will be diving more in depth about caring for, managing, and planning a homestead.

Baby snapdragons 💜💚 So many people tell me snapdragons are their favorite, so I’m growing lots of them this year 🌞

Tulips have begun to peak through the soil. It’s so soon now! If you love tulips, plan on getting our locally grown bouquet of specialty tulips in April/May. I’ll post more about this in April because along with delivery, I’ll be offering them at a few businesses in Findlay!🌞

Today’s wreath class was so fun. I love the end result of beautiful unique creations. The weather was even nice enough to take a group picture outside! Thank you for coming and spending the morning with us! 🌞💐🙏🏼

Tucker has developed a love of digging for moles, and I’m completely fine with that. It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it.

Gratitude and Tulips The flower season has officially ended. Our first frost was a few weeks ago, but there have been things going on in preparation for next season, so it hadn't really felt over until now. More about that in a moment...

The office view today was incredible while I dug up dahlia tubers and planted some more tulips.
