Fertility doulas can be so helpful for families trying to get pregnant. Whether you are just staring to attempt to conceive of going through ivf a fertility doula can be just the support you need to help move your journey along.

We know struggling with fertility can be so taxing, and with your medical team focusing on all the technical things, a doula will focus on you and your spouse. Ensuring that your mental health and realationship doesn't declining the process.

Puberty doulas can be SO helpful in educating and creating a safe environment for children to expirence puberty un their way and discover how to manage it safely and effectively.
There is SO MUCH new info and products in this department that we never had as kids and parents may not know how to use.

Let's talk monitoring in labor

* talk with your provider about what is available at your birthing location*

Traditional consistent monitoring
You know it the pink and blue straps holding on pads that monitor contractions and baby's heart beat .
* pros
They are a tried and true .
Good for those allergic to adhesive but need continuous monitoring
*Cons
Baby moves
They move
They make it near impossible to move around in labor

Wireless continously monitoring (pictured)
It's a sticker and removable battery pack/ reciver that sends fetal heart beat and uterine contractions to the monitor and nurse station (similar to traditional monitors)
*Pro
Most are water proof
Allow you to move freely
They typically don't move and can be taped on for water proofing purposes
*Cons
You can be allergic to adhesive
You or your doula will have to keep an eye on the battery and switch it out every few hours

Intermittent fetal monitoring via doppler
Uses your everyday dappled to track baby's heart rate
*Pros
Your free to move and be in water
Your not being constantly monitored
Perfect for home birth
*cons
Don't monitor contractions
Only applicable to un medicated deliveries
Your not consistently monitored
You may not be able to always find baby quickly

Covid during pregnancy let's talk about it..

I had covid at 20 wks here's what helped and what to watch for.
Take tylenol for both fever and body aches. You can use Vicks or essential oil diffusers to help with any mucus.
If you have a fever don't use ice. Take Luke warm baths or showers and again tylenol to break it. If it exceeds 102 call your ob or midwife immediately.

Once cleared schedule an ob appt. For a check up ( I developed a small clot and was sent to the er over night due to high heart rate and being our of breath. These are warning signs)

Also talk to your doula about getting a good home visit once cleared and sanitized to help with any aches that are still present.
