Spring has sprung! It’s opening day!

Both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate today reintroduced legislation to increase access to Medicare-covered services provided by doctors of chiropractic.

The Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act (H.R. 1610 / S. 799) would bring Medicare’s coverage of chiropractic into alignment with most other federal programs and private health plans, giving seniors improved coverage of non-drug treatments to alleviate pain and improve function.

Once again, Governor Larry Hogan has proclaimed October as Chiropractic Health Month in Maryland. Thank you!!! For almost a century, we have been honored to serve the wonderful citizens of this great state. We join many other state associations as well as the American Chiropractic Association on being on the frontline for pain management and relief.

Let's celebrate the birthday of the chiropractic profession today. Traditionally, Founder’s Day is celebrated on Sept. 18, the date which is on or near the anniversary of the first chiropractic adjustment by D.D. Palmer in Davenport, Iowa, in 1895. There is substantial evidence supporting chiropractic care. Share the science, share the message, share chiropractic!

Rest In Peace Dr. Chester Wilk. Chiropractic practice would be very different today (if it would even exist at all) if it weren’t for your compassion, perseverance and sense of justice and equality. An entire profession salutes you.

Chicago chiropractor took on the American Medical Association in the mid-1970s Chester Wilk, who was 91, died Thursday at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

As opioid epidemic worsens, rethinking how doctors are taught to treat pain

Our own Dr. Morrison and the groundbreaking program at University of Maryland Medical School is featured in this terrific video about America's opioid addiction. Chiropractic has been the safest, most effective, method of drugless pain relief for over a century. Nice to see that forward thinking schools are starting to teach future medical doctors alternatives to the prescription pad. When we all work together for the benefit of our patients, great outcomes, low risk, and high satisfaction become the norm.
