Daytime temperatures will remain near or slightly above seasonal norms this weekend, with readings mostly in the 90s. Daily temperatures will ramp up Monday into Wednesday, with highs in many areas reaching or exceeding 100 degrees each day. Heat indices in areas along and east of Interstate 35 will reach the 103-108 degree range.

The Texas State Guard will be in Forney on Friday, May 31st, conducting damage and debris assessments from Tuesdayβs storm. You may see them around town, so please be aware of their presence.
The potential for severe weather will return on Thursday and continue through Friday as multiple rounds of thunderstorms move through the forecast area. Large hail and damaging winds will both be possible, along with heavy rain. The tornado potential appears low at this time, but cannot be completely ruled out.
