Thank you, Bob, for 7 years with CARE! We appreciate all that you contribute to our organization and our community!
Here is the full quote from Bob:
"I began my journey with CARE over 7 years ago. Not having any housing development or non-profit experience, I was hesitant to take the position as Director of Finance. I knew at that time that affordable housing was necessary in Fort Collins. Little did I know how much it is needed and how little availability there is. Over the years, I’ve learned about the financing, development and management of affordable housing. It has been a privilege to work at CARE. It’s almost as if I was invited. We know that everyone needs a place to call home. For families and individuals, home is where people are safe and secure. A home not only provides shelter but also a place in a community and we all strive to be a part of community. As I’ve said many times in the past, it’s the best job I’ve ever had!"
Last night CARE Housing was recognized for Fair Housing Month by the City of Fort Collins Mayor, Jeni Arndt. Our mission is: "To create an equitable and just community through high-quality affordable housing and transformative resident services."
We want to thank the Fort Collins community for your continued support in making this mission a possibility!
As Women’s History Month comes to an end, we’d like to acknowledge the talented group of women who work at CARE. The 2024 theme for Women’s History Month celebrates “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.” The theme recognizes women throughout the country who understand that, for a positive future, we need to eliminate bias and discrimination entirely from our lives and institutions. This team definitely represents this theme.
Dating back to our founding days, women have always played a critical role at CARE. Today, 65% of our staff is comprised of this talented group of women, 3/5 our of staff leadership team, and 60% of our board of directors.
We want to congratulate CARE resident, Sherry, on being accepted to the Collective Leadership Initiative Spotlight Program!

The Cooking Studio is a great place because the kids have the autonomy to cook and can work with chefs who guide them so well in cooking the meal."
