Yes! Way to go Phaelen French!

World Cup 1- Mixed Relay:

On the final day of World Cup #1, all eyes were on the highly anticipated mixed relay event, where 12 teams from around the world competed for the gold. Amongst them, Team USA was determined to showcase their talents and take on some of the world's top athletes.

Phaelen French and Tyler Evans teamed up for the mixed relay event and started out strong in the fencing ranking round. French delivered an impressive performance with some stunning victories against several World Cup finalists. Although Evans had a couple of misses in his bouts, he managed to finish strong. In the end, Team USA finished in 8th place overall with a total of 206 points in the fencing event.

Next up was the riding event, and Team USA drew some excellent horses. However, French's horse bucked a bit after the first jump, causing her to fall off and eliminate Team USA from the riding event.

In the fencing bonus round, Team USA faced off against Poland, but both French and Evans failed to secure victories. Losing 0-2 meant that they did not score any additional bonus points.

Moving on to the 2x100 swim, French set the pace with an impressive 1:10, while Evans anchored in a swift :58. Their combined time of 2:09 earned Team USA a 3rd place finish in their heat.

With the laser run left to go, Team USA was in 8th place. However, French and Evans put on an excellent show with their running and shooting skills. French finished her two shooting series in a total of 26 seconds, while Evans completed his two series in just 20 seconds. Their strong shooting and running skills helped Team USA finish with the 4th fastest laser run in the competition, with a time of 12:55.

In the end, Team USA finished the mixed relay in 8th place overall, but they proved their worth against some of the world's top athletes. The next World Cup is set to take place in Ankara, Turkey from 11-16 April, and Team USA is ready to give it their all.

GO TEAM USA!
Coach Dennis

We all can confirm…it’s better to train and race with each other and Summer 2022 in Fort Collins was 🔥. A Daily Training Environment came together for MP and thanks to .jackson22 and and almost everyone targeted Boulder 70.3 in August as their event to culminate the summer season.

A lot of smiles, high-fives, and competitive Type-2 fun. Boulder 70.3 moves to early June in 2023…let’s do it!

2022 was a bucket list of sorts for Hannah and Esther Willett and their running! To make the most of Esther‘s last year in Europe before moving to Fort Collins they ran a half or a full marathon at Vienna 🇦🇹 Rotterdam 🇳🇱 in April, Luxembourg 🇱🇺 in May, then Cologne 🇩🇪 , Mallorca 🇪🇸 , Amsterdam 🇳🇱 and Lucerne 🇫🇷 this fall. This is all after late 2021 where they accomplished Paris 🇫🇷 Athens 🇬🇷 and Pisa 🇮🇹

Great job ladies and we look forward to seeing your 2023 running exploits with the and .mtn.multisport

Throughout the summer months, Phaelen French was training and competing in modern pentathlon throughout Europe getting valuable experience for bigger Olympic qualifications in 2023. Events in Bulgaria 🇧🇬 Turkey 🇹🇷 Germany 🇩🇪 Switzerland 🇨🇭 the USA 🇺🇸 nationals along with a quick trip to the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 Her season culminated as the top American finish at the Pan-American games this fall in Rio 🇧🇷

Modern pentathlon is five events: 🤺(one touch epee) 200m 🏊‍♀️, equestrian 🏇🏻 (show jumping) and the combination of 5rounds of laser pistol 🔫 / 600m 🏃🏼‍♀️ on cross country course. In the Olympics ModPen has evolved from a five-day event to the 2024 Paris Olympics will be a 90-minute event with eliminations.

All focus on a Paris 🇫🇷 2024 qualification!

The last weekend of June is historically one of the busiest race weekends, and this year was no different! In Coeur d’Alene we had .jackson22 and take on another 70.3 of the year while Wayne Hall completed his first 70.3 ever! He’s definitely addicted and ready to add more triathlons to this ultrarunner’s schedule in 2023.

Lubbock 70.3 was also going down this weekend with and completing another very hot 🥵 Texas race (Temps on the run were triple digits). They were prepared and Aimee Joe finished 8th while Matt nailed a 12th place finish.

In the local community, our favorite race on the calendar was occurring… Loveland . This unique Olympic++ distance race has been a fixture in the community for over 20 years and is a must do! and Evan DeVincenzo were battling teammates Christian Vasquez and at the front with 4th, 6th, and 8th place finishes, respectively Nathanael Scott 🥇 won his division in the 16/17 year-old AG, while Matthew Michels , Aaron Martens and Christoph Justen we’re battling 4th/5th/10th in the 45 to 49 age group (good thing Coach Mace wasn’t there) 😂

Great weekend team!!

MP Multisport 2022 year in review continues!!

Later in June, it was the Coaches turn. and along with FoCo athlete headed North of the border with Team 🇺🇸 for the World Championships in the Draft-Legal Sprint and Mixed Team Relay in beautiful Montreal 🇨🇦

The course was 🤩 and reminiscent of Lausanne 2019. Challenges included, Urban, slightly upstream river swim, double-story transition, lots of T1 stairs, white-knuckle crit style cycling with numerous 90s, hills, cobbles, and glorious. At least the run was pancake flat.

Results: Mace 5th 🏅/ top 🇺🇸
Chris Binschus, after some bike difficulties ran all the way up to 17th and Frosty with a 40th in his AG.

All three with an amazing weekend and came away from Montreal 2022 with more of a hunger for the World stage and this style of pain. This race will be in Hamburg 🇩🇪 July 2023, and the MP crew will be targeting Milwaukee in August for the 2024 race TBD.

Early June, the race season was in full swing as our military triathletes were back again at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu for the annual Olympic distance Draft-Legal Armed Forces Triathlon Championships. 🏊🚴🏽‍♂️🏃🏽🦈🌊

Notable performances of MP athletes both past/present:
Scott Tonder: 🥈
🥉
4th
6th
: 8th
: 15th
: 18th
19th
: 🥈 and the USAF/USSF with the GOLD 🥇

We missed having this year as she spent her summer stationed in Germany. It was a bittersweet year for Max and Jamie as they went out with a bang in their last race at Mugu. They will be missed at this event each year (especially the after party), but you’ll find them living in Fort Collins training with Esther, Mace, and Frosty at MPHQ.

For 2023, this race presents itself VERY EARLY on the calendar, April 1 due to it being a qualifier for CISM World Military Championship May 5-9 in France 🇫🇷. Train hard this winter for those 8-10 qualifying slots!

Photos from MP Multisport's post 12/20/2022

Early April also found a couple of the MP 70.3 distance ladies with BIG goals…earn that coveted Ironman 70.3 World Championship qualification.

took on Galveston, sprinting across the line in 8th place in the Women’s 30-34AG. Getting that “Q” in her first attempt of the year. 🥳
lesser was in SoCal racing in Oceanside 70.3 the same weekend, similar goals. She got her first podium finish in the (30-34AG) 🏅 and also that “Q”.

What a weekend for these ladies…guaranteeing an October race on the beautiful and challenging St George course. In St George, they both raced within minutes of each other throughout the day placing top 1/3rd AG…IN THE WORLD. 😎

Proud of your hard work getting to this stage of your journey and look forward to seeing what 2023 has in store. 💪

While you and Mace are enjoying some post-season recovery time and transition to a new season, this is Frosty sneaking onto social media to thank Mace for being a helpful and generous coach this past season, an for each of the last eight seasons. I am thankful to Jon for sharing a piece of his promising business endeavor with me, and sharing the thrills and journeys of athletes who have been a part of MP Multisport and Colorado State University Triathlon Club. Thank you for giving each of us who have been inside both brands the opportunity to find Maximum Performance in our multisport abilities, now and beyond.

This guy!!

First Ironman in the books at last weekend.

Sometimes we over-emphasize the end-of-year race as the destination but with Aaron we’ve learned so much about his journey and how best to support. We know this was a BIG step but only one of many adventures to come.

Also…not so bad for a Wyoming Cowboy 🤠😂

Great job Aaron! 👏👏
