Thursday 7/11 is our Bags, Brews & a Better world event from 6-8pm. Swing by to purchase upcycled grain bags that support children in need, and learn about what Ukrainians of Colorado does to help!

Saturday 7/13 is our first Music & Maker's Market of the season. Shop local vendors, and enjoy live music by Mike Yob Bluegrass Band.

Sunday 7/14 is Yoga by Raintree Athletic Club in the taproom. Join us from 9-10am for class and stick around to enjoy some brews after. The class is free but please register on Raintree's website, as space is limited.

Sunday 7/14 we're also celebrating Friendly Nick's Butcher 6 year anniversary in style. Nick's putting on a carnitas-style pig roast with tasty fixins'. The crew starts serving at 1pm and supplies are limited, so come early and come hungry!

I'm sitting at my breakfast table watching my kids not eat the eggs and waffles I made for them. Homemade waffles from my own mix (not eggos) with orange blossom honey, cheesy scrambled eggs, Columbian coffee (for me, not them) and I have The Animals playing in the background. All in all it should be a nice breakfast.

Instead one kid is swinging his remote controlled dog on its leash like he's trying out for the hammer throw. The other one has forked his waffles and is making them dance like a bad Charlie Chaplin impression.

I'm thinking about all the effort I put into making something nice that's not appreciated. But you wouldn't do that to me, would you? Say I smoked a pig for 12 hours and fixed you up a whole carnitas style plate with elote, avocado leaf infused black beans, Spanish rice, pickled jalapenos, and a whole bunch of different salsas... you'd eat it right? What if you had a delicious Zwei Brewing beer to go with it?

Well, that's what I'll have ready on Sunday, July 14th. We'll be celebrating our 6 year anniversary at Zwei. $26 gets you a plate and a pint (thought they don't call them pints because their a German brewery. It's a "Royale with cheese" kind of situation. )

I'll have all sorts of prizes to raffle off including 6 inches of the best meat you could put in your mouth...

It's my way of showing my appreciation for how much you all support the shop. You can show more appreciation by eating it all and leaving the poor remote controlled dog alone.

The Charlie Stevens Band is a stringed instrument Bluegrass quintet comprised of Charlie Stevens (guitar), Ron Lynam (banjo), Clarke Wright (fiddle), Dana Giove (bass), and Nate Swartz (mandolin). Through their music, The Charlie Stevens Band aims to challenge the boundaries between genres while keeping a strong connection to the traditions and hard-driving sounds of bluegrass in order to create new and exciting acoustic music.

In addition to Bluegrass, they are influenced by various other styles rooted in the American tradition - most notably, Rock and Roll, and the Blues. While their covers range from traditional Bluegrass artist Bill Monroe all the way to the classic rock stylings of Cream, Charlie’s original tunes attempt to blend all of these influences together in a way that's fresh and fun to listen to.



Up-tempo tunes featuring blazing fast solos, and powerhouse vocals, make this an exciting group to see live.
