Dec. 7 - Huge Thank You to Pets Supplies Plus in Fort Dodge for their canned food drive for United Way! We appreciate your dedication to our four legged and two legged family members and support for our animal families. We know a large percentage of folks having trouble finding housing also have pets, either emotional support animals or family pets. Donations help us try to get the whole family together or help cover shelter costs until owners and pets can be reunited!
Thank you Valero Renewable Fuels for your continued strong support of United Way of Greater Fort Dodge! As part of their employee campaign, they filled a trailer of goods for our Bridging the Gap program! Donated household goods, go out to families in need to help make their house a safe and comforting home! We appreciate all that you do!
Dec. 5 - Thank you to Day Break Rotary for letting us join your group this morning! We appreciate your dedication to our community!
Great program this morning by Julie Piton and Tricia Winninger of United Way. Addressing needs in the community is so important. Many of us want to help but don’t know how. Contact your local United Way to find out the needs in your community. It’s what they do! Julie and Tricia told us of the needs for beds. If you have mattresses and bed frames you don’t use or want to upgrade. Know your donating to a good cause. Many kids and adults are sleeping on couches or floors. They will pickup! So easy to help those in need. They also are in need of other furniture and household things we take for granted. Thank you Letitia Anderson for inviting Julie and Tricia to bring their United Way message to us. When we all work together. Together we make a difference!

Do you have furniture you no longer use?
United Way’s Bridging the Gap program needs your furniture donations!
This program supports families, young mothers and parents who are starting over by providing gently used furniture and household items to them. The goal is to ensure that every child in the community has a bed to sleep in, a table to eat at and and a chair or sofa to sit on.
Anyone who has a pick up truck and/or is willing to donate their time and energy helping us move furniture, please let me know!
