There were a few Broward County students who went above and beyond with showing their support for this year. Congratulations to our 2024 Broward County Waterway Cleanup scholarship contest winners. Through their creativity and talent these students highlighted the importance of our local waterways and together have been awarded more than $1,700. A great big congratulations to Sawgrass' own Lillian Zheng! Lillian's poster was selected out of all the middle and high school entries as the winner of the Broward County Waterway Cleanup, organized by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida! Last night our members and volunteers joined us for the WWCU Kick-off party sponsored by National Save The Sea Turtle Foundation. Thank you all for helping us celebrate this great environmental event, we’re counting down the days until March 2nd!
