I’m grateful that God directed our steps & brought US together! He chose US for our new !! I am overwhelmed with excitement & great anticipation to see what God will do through us. 💯💯

We put ourselves first!! 🔥🔥 My husband & I just returned from our 10-day Couples’ trip to Greece & Turkey including a 7-night cruise on the Virgin Voyage!! To be honest, this was our first 10-day trip, but not our last.

Typically, we schedule 4-6, short vacations annually. With the increasing demands as Entrepreneurs, we needed a longer trip to unplug (no laptops), connect as a couple, have fun with our friends & personal time for reflection/clarity/direction. We have 5 more, shorter trips scheduled for this year, but I’m already planning our next 10-day trip for 2025.

I want to encourage everyone to continue to work hard, but play harder!! 💯 Reward yourself! You deserve it! Tomorrow is not promised.

♦️♦️ As of today, I’ve received 5 supplier certifications & positioned my company to do business nationally with major organizations!! Learn how you can do the same!!♦️♦️

In Dec 2021, I decided that I wanted to scale my business as a Diverse Supplier. In the spirit of transparency, the process was lonely, overwhelming & stressful! 🤦🏾‍♀️

After prayer & saying YES to God, the 1st thing I did was investing in a Mentor. My Mentor, Denise Taylor gave me the practical, professional & spiritual resources, support & guidance to achieve my goal. I am forever grateful. She is my !!❤️ Everyone needs one on their Power Team!!

After hiring a Mentor, I researched & hired a true professional that was knowledgeable & had a proven success record in this space, Lain Consulting, LLC! LaPronda Spann & her team were awesome to work with. 🎉🎉 Highly recommend LaPronda & her team! If you are a super busy entrepreneur like me, you probably enjoy outsourcing as much administrative work as possible. 💯💯

After completing my first 3 certifications summer 2023, I was stucked…again!! What’s my next step?? Where do I start with/ bidding on contracts?? 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ I prayed to God & waited for clarity & direction.

In Oct 2023, Dawn Nicole McIlwain launched Queen City Women in Business! I immediately joined as a free member (now called basic membership) to learn more about the organization, vision, mission, etc. After attending the New Members call in Nov, I knew QCWIB was my answered prayer!! 😍😍 It was the right partnership to scale my business. Why?? QCWIB aligned w/ my purpose, passion & my business.

What was my next step??? I immediately purchased the VIP package & a VIP ticket to the annual Breakfast Conference Jan 2024! AND, share it with everyone I knew!!

What’s the takeaways from my testimony??

Whatever BIG step you are considering…
1. Pray & seek God for clarity & direction. Focus on 1 step at a time.

2. Once you’ve received a thought or hunch that’s outside of you & bigger than you think, PRAY again. 😂🤣Share it with your prayer partner.

3. Once you say “YES”, take a small, faith step toward the goal. God honors faith & He will provide peace & direction & connections/resources.

4. Don’t do this journey alone. Invest in a Coach or Mentor.

5. Don’t do this journey alone. Invest in the right community to walk with you on this journey and provide collaboration, education, resources & FUN!!
