A rewatch of my favorite season of Drag Race had me feeling nostalgic.. So of course I needed to get back to my roots and give myself a full beat! Drag has such a special place in my heart and brings me back to the beginning of my career when I was sitting in my room, trying to glue my eyebrows down, and attempting to recreate fierce looks!

truly has outdone himself with this set😍👏 I was inspired by to play with skin texture and finish so this look is the result of playing and experimenting!

While going through the photos after shooting, I immediately realized I had subconsciously referenced another artist in this look.. If you know me well, you'll know that one of my favorite live performances is 's 2013 VMA's performance of Applause. She goes through multiple costume changes on stage throughout the song (🤯) but she starts by wearing a white square headpiece that surrounds her face. Seeing the photos instantly reminded me of that intro look! I just wanted to share that tidbit because I find it so cool that your inspirations can secretly come out in your art, and can surprise you in the process!
