Meet Esoterica's fearless mentor Ale Bonilla

From LA to NYC, Ale has traveled all around sharing essential craft skills for fellow hairdressers. Ale started doing hair at the age of 13 and cut all the Vatos hair through high school. Ale took a break during college, sold his Lowrider, and financed himself through cosmetology school. Ale went back to college while building his clientele before founding Esoterica in 2003. After 5 locations, a salounge and 21 years making people look & feel good he now calls the Fort Worth location home. He still travels making documentaries and capturing his craft through the lens.

Love him or hate him, he is a tried and true industry heavyweight. With everything to lose, Ale defends reality in a world of make believe. Defending women, supporting the less fortunate, empowering men, sharing healthy tips\ tricks, upholding morals and creating a safe space for truth.

A spin off an original from 2 decades ago "I got Banged @ Esoterica." Originally inspired from Ale cutting really short bangs on some of his clients & they started saying "I got banged". Throughout the years we have often called each other HairBangers. All on sale now at the salon in all sizes. Hoodies & hats too!
