Our focus has always been on producing a high quality program for children. Learning the game of golf is one thing, teaching leadership lessons is the most important thing.

Learning how to make the best out of what life gives you is what our Life Skills curriculum is all about. We're helping empower the next generation of leaders.

Save the date! North Texas Giving Day is on Thursday, September 19! This online giving event is designed to empower every person to give back to their community. Double tap if you will consider partnering with us this year to help teach life skills to children through the game of golf. ❤️

Founded as the Lindy Miller Foundation, First Tee – Fort Worth was officially chartered in 2004. Classes were conducted with a small staff of coaches and dedicated volunteers making golf more accessible to all children.

20 years later, and we're still paving the path for ease of access to learn more than just golf.

It was a tad toasty today for our Swing into the School Year event with , but these girls stayed hydrated and Enriched their minds with a scavenger hunt challenge! We also customized some rulers ready for school and even some at-home putting practice!

Next up is glow golf out at Squaw Creek on Oct. 23!

This summer we hosted our very first Girls Golf camps at our Rockwood and Squaw Creek locations! These camps took the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf curriculum sprinkled with some First Tee lessons and provided 5 days of golf education and fun with some girly flare! 🌺

Participants learned about various rules, tested their knowledge about the game, and practiced their skills on and off the course. They even personalized some golf accessories to add their own style to their game! Personalized ball markers anyone? 💎

We had so much fun and loved seeing so many girls excited about the game of golf! If you're looking for a fun group for your golf enthusiast, check out our program! SENIOR NIGHT 🤗

Our Junior Advisory Committee hosted their annual Senior Night this past weekend to recognize and honor those who graduated this past spring and are about to make the leap into the next chapter of their lives!

While we weren't able to get ALL of our graduating First Tee - Fort Worth seniors together on Saturday, we wish them luck in their future endeavors and are so proud to officially call them alumni! Over our 20 years of programming, we've seen hundreds of kids graduate and are incredibly grateful for the marks that each of them have left through their participation, representation and service to our chapter.

We know their next journeys will be filled with exciting times, but also challenges. We hope that our alumni will utilize the tools, values and relationships gained with us to accomplish their goals and dreams!

The 2024 FWJGA Boys Championship concluded on Thursday, July 25 with one of the most exciting finishes in recent history!

Congrats to Braden Stokes on his victory! Braden won a 3-way, sudden death playoff with a birdie on the first playoff hole against Matthew Lewis and Jack Workman.

Many others battled it out within their respective flights, both in Division I and our Division II, 11-13 and 10 & Under flights. Check out scores and pictures at the official site at www.fwjga.us

This historic championship is played over 4 days for the Championship division and 2 days for Division II, 11-13 and 10 & Under divisions. Since its inception this tournament has been free to participants in Fort Worth and nearby communities thanks to the generosity of local clubs, courses and individual supporters!

A huge thanks to all of our volunteers, course staff, and especially Marty Leonard, for their part in continuing this fantastic tradition!

Congrats to all who participated throughout the week! You have on this year's event! We can't wait to see what 2025 brings!

Congrats to the 2024 FWJGA Girls Champion: Naomi Phan!

We are so proud of Naomi! As a First Tee - Fort Worth member, she is a fantastic example of hard work, perseverance and respect. Her consistency proved key, claiming the championship trophy with a scores of 75-74-37-74 for a 3.5 round total of 260 and a 7-stroke lead over second place.

Many First Tee - Fort Worth participants competed in this week's tournament and represented well! The future is bright for our young competitors! All of them battled it out through challenging conditions, Texas heat and even rain storms! Annaliese Joiner, Reagan Gilliland and Kennedi Parker also claimed first place in the their respective flights!

Congrats to all of the players on a well played 2024 tournament! Each has on the historic FWJGA Girls Championship!

The final round for the FWJGA Girls Division II, 11-13 and 10 & Under divisions took place today with some scorching but exciting finishes! Congratulations to FTFW Rockwood Site Coordinator Travis Jones and his partner, Zak , for finishing in second place in the NTPGA Pro-Junior! Travis made a hole in one and Zak made five birdies to finish at 9-under par!

Additionally, Executive Director J.R. Holland was carried by his partner, Naomi, to a third place finish thanks to her making 7 birdies!
