Slow and steady wins the race. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. And although the scale is moving at a snail’s pace and my in body scan is creeping in the right direction It’s taken me 2.75 months to get where I’m at today. This week was the first time in these months where I’ve seen a little change, a glimmer, some hope.
While they are not huge changes they are changes and for that I’m excited. It’s been a lot of talking to myself , literally! Hyping myself up, being consistently consistent. Never steering from the plan, never giving up on myself. Being lonely in another state. Eating more calories than I ever have, no high intensity workouts, lifting weights 4-5 days a week , and walking 3-3.5 miles 6 days a week. Nothing fancy, nothing outrageous.
So if your struggling with your fitness journey, it’s never too late. Don’t give up, you are worth it. One day adds up to one week, one week adds up to a month, a month adds up to a year. Little changes yield big results in the long run
Keep going, you are worth it. If you have a slip up like I did. You get right back up!
I’m here to tell you if you are having a hard time to get going this morning, it’s ok. Breathe. Be kind to yourself
A slow start is better than no start!
Hey hey you!
If you haven’t done anything for yourself today, get up and do it now. You still got time left in the day. Can’t take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself FIRST! You are worth it
Do you meal prep?
I do. It’s a must to keep me on track.
This week’s menu
Salmon
Chicken breast
Cilantro lime jasmine rice
Sweet potatoes
Baked oats
Frozen veggies because I’m lazy this week
Eggs
Avocados
Cottage cheese
And of course my daily supplements too
Woke up in a funk
Really bad funk
Not physically just mentally. I’m not well. I wake up like this occasionally, not one particular thing, but a lot if that makes sense. The mind can be a terrible terrible thing. But I get up, i do the dang thing. And tomorrow is another day and the sun will always always rise. Be kind to yourself especially on these kinds of days
Having lost 92LBS 16 years ago, and gaining a little weight I feel this with my soul.
But then I have to reel myself in and focus on everything I’ve been through and how far I’ve come. It’s still, even after all these years hard to be proud of what I’ve accomplished, and give myself grace even for gaining a few pounds. Be kind to yourself just as much as you are kind to everyone you encounter .
Much love, More light ❤️

Hi 👋🏽I’m the weirdo that travels with their food
Yes even my frother
Nothing about my daily nutrition changes just because I’m traveling.
Water ✅
Espresso✅
1st Phorm cinnamon cookie batter✅
Almond milk✅
Baked pumpkin oatmeal ✅
And my supplements are somewhere in my stuffed backpack😂
I’ve got groceries for the week waiting at my destination, thank goodness for Walmart delivery.
Now i can relax and KNOW exactly what I’m putting in my mouth without worry
If there’s one thing for sure about me, it’s that I’m consistent! It’s so hard for me to get out of my own head right now at this stage in life when it comes to my fitness goals. But I know nothing good comes without consistency and discipline.
Let’s not just keep our head above water let’s keep swimming, just keep swimming y’all!
YALL! I’m struggling now
Eat more food
Do less cardio
Walk more but make it outside
STOP ALL THE Hiit and group exercises classes that you used to do, you’re screwing up your metabolism in this stage of your life
Lift heavy…lift lift lift
Drink all the water
Get 10k steps
Log the food
Protein protein protein
Oh and do I say eat eat eat?
MAN, I’ve been on this new journey for 7 weeks straight. Doing all the things by the book of how I’m being coached. My body weight, fat, and muscle HAS NOT moved a bit. Zero progress. It’s frustrating, very mentally challenging. Way harder to make a change in my body than it was 16 years ago when I lost 92 lbs! Doing two hour workouts, training weights with a trainer, having minimum calories as possible, running outside. Wow I don’t know how I did it. I definitely was fueled by the scale at that point because the weight was flying off. And it stayed off until the past year. I need to lose 20 lbs, actually I don’t care about the movement on the scale i just want to gain some muscle and lose some fat. But gosh IT IS SO HARD. I want to give up most days.
Thank you menopause and all those years of messing with my metabolism by being in a deficit for so dang long
But I will keep on, I’ve done it before, I will do it again. It just mighttake a little longer now, but I’m worth it.
Anyone else struggling?
Oh and peep my cute son in the background. I loved having him here for the week
Peace and love to you all! ♥️
Sunrise walk and my adult sons?
There’s nothing better
Grateful for this day and time with my kids
What are you thankful for today?
😂
Don’t forget y’all!
But for real,
What are you doing today to set yourself up for a successful week?
Have you thought about you?
Word
You’re not fooling anyone with your 37-degree incline holding on for dear life.
One of these days I’m going to go up and ask what would happen if you let go for a few seconds? [relax, I'm kidding]
I 😀😀 inside every time I see it. I can’t help it.

I love this place by my house called Grain and Berry. All kinds of bowls, smoothies, and vegetarian brunch type of foods. So good, but one, I got to get out of my house to get it, and two they are $10 a bowl!
So I thought I’d make my own. Only thing different between theirs and mine is I don’t have Nutella.
My breakfast bowl this morning
1/4 c oats
1/2 c strawberries
1/2 c blueberries
1 container Dannon oikos vanilla Greek yogurt
1/2 banana
Honey
2 tbs organic peanut butter
Now, you might say wow that’s a lot of calories, and yes it is. But I’m well within my macros 😁
Anyone else having to change their whole mindset about working out? For 15 years I was conditioned to do cardio cardio cardio, eat less, sprinkle in some weights, use the scale!
NOW, it’s minimum cardio, just walking is great, get sunshine, and lift lift lift!!
When I lost the 92LBS, I was working out twice a day, sometimes three times a day. Spending all my time in Hiit classes or on the treadmill and training weights with my trainer three days a week. I did Weight Watchers and was very successful. But now my mind is blown that less is more!
I’m doing the dang thing but geez it’s hard.
Oh and EAT TO LOSE. Like WHAT??? My calorie intake now compared to all those years ago is sky high! And little by little I’m seeing small results.
Get out of you mind! Less is more
No matter what is on my mind or in my heart, one thing is for sure a non negotiable is my daily workouts.
Without them my mind is in chaos.
What’s your non negotiable? Something to help you on a daily basis get through the day? It doesn’t have to be fitness related…

Happy Monday from Sunny Florida. ☀️
I love getting out when the sun is just peeking over the tall palm trees. It’s a new day, new week let’s try and be better than last week.
I was disappointed at my weigh in on Friday and my scan as well but I’m being told to keep doing everything I’m doing and it will pay off. “Trust the dang process” I get so tired of hearing those words! But I’ve only been back on my A game for 4 weeks now. It takes time to build those muscles and lose fat. It’s so hard to not get wrapped up in the scale!
Have you ever made overnight oats? These used to be a staple in my house every single week. Even husband approved. It had been months since I’ve done any kind of meal prep. Four weeks ago I decided that had to change. I am back on my oats every week whether baked or overnight, I LOVE THEM. And the mix ins are endless. Just so happens this time of year I’m on a pumpkin kick.
1/2 c oats
1/2-3/4 c unsweet almond milk
Cinnamon
1tbs chia seeds
1/4 c 🎃puree
I also used 1 tbs of Jordan’s skinny syrup pumpkin flavor
1/2 scoop protein powder of your choice. I LOVE 1st Phorm Cinnamon Cookie Batter.
What’s your favorite kind of oats?
Who else is ready for cooler weather and hoodie season?
Today’s breakfast
Pumpkin Baked Oats
Coffee w/ 1 scoop collagen
2tbs zero sugar added pumpkin spice creamer
What are you looking forward to this week or this month.
My go to post workout
So good and the choices are limitless.
Have you had “Profee”?
What’s your favorite protein filled snack or shake?
It’s my FAVORITE time of year. Give me everything pumpkin. If you have been here for a while you know I LOVE some pumpkin baked protein oats.
1/2 c oats
1/4 c pumpkin puree
1/2-3/4 c milk of choice
Cinnamon
Salt
Baking powder
1/2 scoop protein powder (I use 1St Phorm cinnamon cookie batter)
1 tsp honey or other sweetener of your choice
Stir
Put in 8-10 oz ramekin
Bake 20 min on 350
So good. Like a treat
You can also make them in blueberry, banana, and apple too.
Great for meal prepping to have through out the week
What is something you love to hate? But your also decent at?
Mine? Jump roping
I used to have to do this a TON when I was training with my trainer that I ended up having for 10 years! Man when I was big he’d have my sister and I jump rope. Needed more steps or more calories burned, he’d have us jump rope. Wanted to add a little cardio between weight sets, you guessed it jump too. He also thought it would be fun to do a jump rope challenge where we would do a certain amount of jump roping every single day. Man, that guy loved jump roping. I never grew to love it. But I did get ok with it. Sometimes we’d even travel down the studio mat and jump rope or jump with a sauna suit on. Anyways, we jumped rope today and I couldn’t help but think of the good old days, with a rope, my sister, and our trainer
Happy Hump Day friends!
What do you start your morning off with? Coffee? Protein shake? Food?
Me? Always, every single morning

Attitude of gratitude every single morning.
Even if you are in a storm, there is always something to be thankful for.
Tell me where you’re from or where you are now?
I’ll go first In Florida, but from Texas.
Comment below to let me know…
Hey fitness friends! I’ve been MIA
Moved from Texas to Florida left everyone and everything I’ve ever known. Fast forward 9.5 months and I’m done self sabotaging. Feeling sorry for myself, crying about being lonely but doing nothing about it. I’ve worked out but just been going through the motions. I haven’t logged food until two weeks ago. Now I’m starting my third week of taking myself back and eating more food than I’ve ever ate. Long gone is the days of no fat or low fat, here’s to eating more to lose weight and gain muscle. Which I’m having to totally retrain my brain in that one. I’m the only one that can save me!
I’m still on the struggle bus with my nutrition. It’s not horrible but it’s not Great either.
My goals for this week are:
🌟Continue making sleep a priority
🌟Protein protein protein
🌟Minimum 10k in steps
🌟And probs the biggest and the most challenging… ask myself when I feel the need to eat, am I truly hungry or am I just BORED?
Attend Burn Bootcamp at least 5 days
What are you’re goals this week? Fitness or in life goals?
Sometimes it sucks to look back on yourself from last year. Or it can be motivating!
I’m choosing motivation
Muscles and strength I’m coming for ya!
Summer is right around the corner! No excuses about moving to a different state anymore
Time to get my big girl panties on and WORK!
Life is wild
I can’t believe I’m FIFTY!
Hormones are crazy and I never quite understood what women really went through until now. These hot flashes just punch me out of nowhere. It feels like an oven on 400 preheating and then BOOM your insides are literally frying. I’ve found myself ripping off my clothes in the middle of the night, not to get sexy with my husband, but because I feel like I’m going to spontaneously combust 😂🔥 It’s become quite comical
Anyone else relate?
Got this book delivered today to see if it can give me any insight into combating menopause
