I hope everybody thinks a moment to watch this video. A lot of people don’t realize the pressure that is involved in the towing industry when it comes to being a first responder towing company on a state or city municipality level. However, the pressure is very very intense. Beards Towing we are very lucky and very blessed to work with, the greatest cities, police departments, fire departments in the state of Texas. Our city’s work as a partnership encourage the education. Looking at a bigger picture though it is not always the case with the majority of the cities throughout the United States when you watch this video. As a towing company that tows for a municipality we are held to higher standards. There are ETA qualifications meaning a certain timeframe that you have to be on scene and clear the roadway while traffic is screaming by at 70 + miles an hour. There’s also equipment qualifications to meet that is not cheap as well as the pressure from the police department to hurry up and clear the roadway. The towing company is also required to have several tow trucks waiting around on standby for emergency response. This means that the tow trucks can not be doing tows for other companies or individuals instead it has to sit and wait with not much compensation for the wait time. The compensation comes when the tower is called to the scene of an accident, which usually result in a higher towing fee than under normal circumstances. In which case comes with many complaints and bad reviews. This makes for an unfair circumstance. You either deal with a customer that’s mad because of the high cost of an emergency response to. Or you deal with cities that are mad because traffic is backed up due to towing companies working other calls that pay better .In the United States, a tow operator is seven times more likely to be killed working an accident seen on the roadway, then a police officer or a firefighter. I say this not to undermine the work that the police department and the fire department do .they are amazing people of service. As a tow operator, we trust our lives on the roadway to them and their assistance. There is a massive increase in fatalities on the US roadways in with Texas being one of the highest in the United States. I believe that we need to enforce when it comes you to slow down move over lol and people that speed excessively. I’m not talking about the 5 mile an hour over the speed limit individuals. I’m talking about the people that have no respect for the roadways or the people that are on them, including my family and yours. Many people know my industry makes a living off of breakdowns ,accidents, etc. However this job comes with a high price. In the towing industry, the recovery operator sees more
fatalities than the average police officer. Emotionally that weighs on an individual.
87% of these fatalities are on the highways the rest are in residential.
We need to slow down and move over as well as enforce penalties on speeding and reckless driving !!!

Everyone is asking if we worked the Crane that went off the 360 bridge in Arlington ? Yes we did . Definitely more to it than it may look . The truck and trailer that was carrying the crane came apart. The truck rolled over breaking away from the trailer from the bottom of the RGN “ not the 5th wheel . That is a lot of stress on that kind of trailer for that to happen. The 101,000 lbs crane broke away from the trailer and off the side of the bridge . A 35 foot drop. After the recovery we went back and put up new walls for TEX-DOT . 3-75 ton rotators working different parts of the accident ,1-55 ton RGN trailer to put the crane on for transport back to VSF , 4 flatbeds wreckers . 2 of them with roll off containers
1 with the skid steer
1 for parts of the crane
3 service trucks with equipment for major recovery’s
