We have rolled the doors closed for the next few days. And we rolled Helga out to decorate the front. Come snap a pic with her - she makes a great backdrop! Tag us if you want - we’d love to see! We’ll be back in the shop on Wednesday! We hope you all have the best holiday and the merriest Christmas!
A few showroom shots from the week. We are stocked up with so much right now. Bursting at the seams with upholstered and slipcovered furniture, antiques, art, lighting, weird industrial do-dads. We will be dragging much more out over the next few weeks! Come see us!
A few showroom shots. Some of you may have already seen these on our stories, but I know there are neglected Post-only people out there, so, these are for you. I’m noticing more color - and happy colors! What’s up with that? I promise I will start doing more Posts…I know. I said that last time. #
Hello everyone! In case you haven’t heard yet, this week we start our new hours. We are now CLOSED on Mondays. We will still be open Tuesday - Saturday 10-5, and don’t worry Freak-out Friday will be just as freaky as ever. We are delighted with this new schedule as it gives us an extra day with family, friends, pets, gardens, and unread books on our nightstands, not to mention an extra day to sleep in. Whoopee!
Hey! Look! A post! We are better at stories…and getting better at reels, but at the expense of posts. So this is for all you post readers out there!! Two Perfect Chairs slipcovered in white, an industrial jonny table, and a big ol’ horse. for in a post!
Happy Easter! Happy weekend!
FYI. And it’s not looking great for Wednesday too. Stay safe. Stay warm.
Well, it’s here! We will be closing Friday the 23rd and we’ll open back up after the new year, on Tuesday, January 3rd. Yes, that’s right folks, we are taking a week-ish off and having a nice long break! We will be answering the phones next week, and will have the answering machine cranked up if you need something. We hope you all have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a very Happy New Year!! You are the best followers, fans, and friends. And we’re grateful for each and every one of you! See you next year!
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up - we, as always, are taking full advantage of a holiday weekend. We will close a bit early on Wednesday afternoon - 2ish. And will be closed Thursday - Sunday. So, if you need any last minute Thanksgiving fixes for your home, or maybe a nice hostess gift for someone else’s, come see us this week! The store has never looked better. Well, until the week after thanksgiving when we finally deck the halls at the store! In the pic is a 10’ long farm table with 8 velvet chairs all plopped on to a well worn antique rug. And scroll through to see a few more store shots - you may have seen these already on our stories, but I posted them here for the Post People😉
A classic conundrum : what to do with a big wall. How about an old Amtrak billboard?
Also spotted here - a giant sofa slipcovered in a heavy linen - unbelievably comfortable - like sink in for bingeing a few seasons. Jonny made the coffee table - heavy maple bowling alley on top of a metal base. Some old wood molds, velvet pillows, and a roll of twine - All sitting on a couple of vintage rugs.
4 Perfect Chairs. And 1 perfect giant rack of ironstone. Scroll if you don’t believe me.
Hope you all have a safe and fun weekend! See you on Tuesday!
Here are a few shots from this weeks Freak-out Friday. We added a lot of new sofas, chairs and antiques! Jonny brought over a coffee table made from a bowling alley and an antique pedestal base he topped with a piece of steel. Pam filled the vases and ironstone pitchers with flowers. And it was Matt’s birthday! A great time was had by all - even me - who almost busted an overhead light carrying a nine foot surfboard through the store.
Ok, this is me trying to do more posts. We threw this room together today - which often happens on Freak-out Friday. This is a big sectional with a double width section on one end - perfect movie-night sofa. Out in front is a Jonny-made honed marble coffee table. Some bingo balls, some sunflowers, a big art wall, and a vintage rug. If you want to see more of what we did today check out our stories!
Just a happy store shot. I don’t post posts very often anymore - we are kind of story heavy now…What do you like better? Posts, stories, reels? I don’t do reels yet….not because I’m too old to know how….actually it IS because I’m too old to know how, but I’m gonna learn…soon. This is a pretty slipcover sofa from slipcovered in a tiny pinstripe fabric - a classic. The coffee table is from - it has a marble inset top. Very French - oui!
Look at the black lampshades. I love black shades. Come see us this weekend. So so much new stuff rolling in! And much more to come. Stay tuned….
Streaming sunlight, linen slipcovers, and a 40 piece gallery wall! I’ll be in here the rest of the day if you need me
Wishing you all a good night after a long day here. It’s been a long short week here - truckloads of furniture, crates of art, boxes of bedding. It’s all out now and the store is so full. This is the little house this evening freshened up with a frenchy bed from , some white bedding from , and a pair of indigo print chairs from , and just the right amount of evening sun. Cozy, huh? Check out our stories for a look at some of the newest stuff we stuffed into the store this week! Or better yet, come on by.
Trying to come up with a name for the wooden case good in the back…is it a cabinet? A set of drawers? A sideboard? This piece is too great to answer to any one name!
We will be closed this Saturday-Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
A couple of trucks rolled in this week with some new stuff which always makes Freak-out Friday a little more freaky…and fun too. Come see us Saturday!
A wall of trees just in time for spring. Maddie hung it today in a perfect grid. I think it turned out to be almost 8’ of trees, so when I say a wall of trees…. The cabinet underneath has corrugated glass doors. The lamps are alabaster.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend. A Happy Easter! And a Happy Passover!
Here are a peek of a few of the big ones I flipped thru - 8-9’ x 11-14’ .
We have a few bigger-er ones. Lots of runners and and some small 4x6ish.
Rug Day has arrived. They are here. I know a lot of you have been waiting….They are stacked up, priced, and ready to go.
Today we’ll be dragging them around the showroom and playing. Stay tuned for posts and stories!
A few showroom shots for the weekend. Happy Saturday!
Well, we made it up to the store this afternoon. We’ve decided to open up tomorrow at 12:00ish. We hung around today just long to unwrap 5 new sofas, and 3 or 4 pairs of chairs. So if you spent the last two days at home wishing you had something more comfortable to sit on we can set you up.
No freak-out Friday around here today.
