What is sublimation and how is it different from what I currently offer?

Essentially, sublimation is a permanent type of ink transfer on to a specially formulated surface or fabric. The beauty of it is the possibilities are endless! Designs are printed using a specific printer and ink instead of using vinyl that has its detail and color limitations. Oh, and the whole process takes maybe an hour.

I currently use epoxy as my substrate for my designs and it cannot be washed in the dishwasher, can crack or chip if dropped, can be damaged by heat exposure and can end up being a bit thick and heavy. And the fabrication process takes a minimum of 3 days to allow for cure time.

I do plan to continue to offer epoxy products as an option but hope to eventually transfer entirely to sublimation largely due to the faster turn around time.

Current turn around time is 2-3 weeks as we only keep a limited supply of materials on hand and often have to wait for materials to arrive.
