Exciting News! 📢 Keefe Regional Technical School Continuing Education program has secured a $520,000 grant to enhance its Journeyman Plumbing Code and Theory Program and create a brand-new HVAC, Oil, and Gas Burner Technology Certification Program for adults. These expanded offerings are made possible through funding from the Career Technical Initiative (CTI), supported by the State budget for 2023-2024, and funds from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021.

Administered by Commonwealth Corporation on behalf of the Workforce Skills Cabinet, in partnership with MassHire Metro South/West Career Center, Keefe at Night will oversee the entire process, from admissions to apprenticeship placement and employment.

The goal of CTI funding and these program expansions is to meet the needs of job seekers and employers by providing training opportunities in high-demand, high-growth industries. This empowers individuals who are unemployed or underemployed to establish career pathways.

With these grant funds, Keefe at Night will offer 20 eligible adult learners an enhanced 200-hour Massachusetts Journeyman Plumbing Tier 1 course and 40 eligible learners the chance to join a new 200-hour HVAC, Oil, and Gas Burner Technology Certification Program at no cost. These programs will cover OSHA certification, hands-on practice, and crucial career development and employability skills.

"We're thrilled to expand our commitment to workforce development by offering no-cost training in these thriving areas," said the Framingham-based regional technical high school.

At Keefe at Night, we continuously strive to introduce new programs, particularly in the trades. The creation and expansion of these two programs align perfectly with our mission to be a leading workforce training and development resource in MetroWest and beyond.
