Amiah Mason serves as our triage Nurse. Amiah has been with us for a little over a year now.
Her credentials include CNA, and CMA. Amiah lights up every room she is in. She dedicates her heart to helping those in need.

My name is Joanna and I am from Cumberland, Ky. My addiction truly started at the age of 26 after being diagnosed with lupus. Before that I had only dabbled with alcohol and ma*****na when I was younger. I was introduced to OxyContin and from that moment on, I was in love. In the beginning I was able to keep it together, but eventually I convinced my husband to try it with me.

We were functioning addicts for many years until the day came that we tried the needle. Our lives began to unravel quickly until finally our drug use took a toll on our marriage and we separated. We struggled apart for the next 3 to 4 yrs then my husband went into Isaiah House. It was there that he gave his heart to Jesus Christ!

He began to pray for me and asked the Lord to give him 6 months so that in that time I would see such a change in him, that I would want that for myself as well.

Let me tell you that the Lord hears the details in our prayers because 6 months to the day that he began to pray that prayer, my husband dropped me off at a Christ centered rehab and I began my walk with the Lord after 14 years of addiction.

You see, He began to work in me and my husband separately, then He started restoring our marriage. What the enemy meant to destroy, the Lord turned it all around to bring Him glory!!

Today my life looks very different than it did 11 yrs ago. I am a woman of God, wife, mother of 3 wonderful children and a grandmother of 7 beautiful babies and 1 more on the way! My husband and I work for Isaiah House and we serve the Lord with our whole hearts. Because of Christ in us, we can serve others and bring them the good news of the gospel!!

Don’t let the enemy lie to you and tell you that you are not worth it because that’s what he wants you to believe. He doesn’t want you to truly believe that Jesus Christ died on Calvary just for YOU and that he loves you with an everlasting love! My husband and I are living proof that He can set the captive free and I will serve Him until my last breath!

One of my proudest achievements to date and the best year of my life. 🙏🏼

I made the decision one year ago to finally surrender. To become a better person. Better dad. Better husband. Better friend. I wanted to achieve in my career. Wanted my health. My fitness. I wanted more. More happiness. More confidence. More self esteem. More money, more time, more energy.

I was fed up of feeling like rubbish. Feeling ashamed. Feeling guilty. Feeling a liar. Feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. Feeling like everything in life was downhill. I’d given up. I just didn’t care anymore.

A year on and I’ve never felt so content. I’ve found a new love for life. I want to extend it as long as I can. I’m so grateful for everything. Good and bad. Life looks full of opportunities and there is so much I want to explore.

Thank you to my amazing wife, daughter and mum. You are my world and make me want to be the best person I can be.

For anybody thinking about making a change, reach out. Ask questions. Listen to that voice. You may not want to go sober but may just want something to change. The early parts are difficult.

I’ve found a passion and a purpose in helping people. Helping men address emotions and change the way they consume alcohol.

There are days its been s**t! Especially early on, I won’t lie. It seemed impossible for someone my age. But it soon all began to come together and I’ve never, ever felt so happy.

It’s not boring. You aren’t weird. Do it for you. You only get one shot at this life. 1 year on and It’s a lovely feeling liking the man I see in the mirror.

My little girl now has the daddy she deserves.
