She has over 19 years of leadership in sales, marketing, product, and general management. Sheena holds an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.

Data is a big topic – literally! According to https://educate.beyondclean.net/4cL7Oye, as of December 2023, 328.77 million terabytes of data were being created every day, and that number continues to increase. We are inundated with data, and that makes it easy to feel overwhelmed.

That’s why for this series, most of the posts will be focused on building data literacy skills. Googling “data literacy” provides several definitions, but here’s one I particularly like (from Tableau): “the ability to explore, understand, and communicate with data in a meaningful way.”

Why is data literacy important? I think most people are aware of the problems with dirty data, so I’ll use that as a comparison. The danger of dirty data is often described as “garbage in, garbage out,” meaning I can’t make good decisions unless I have good data to start from. But I think data literacy is an even more fundamental need. If I am unable to understand the data I have, I could have a veritable gold mine of information right in front of me and not even be able to recognize it, let alone act on it.

Over the next year, I aim to provide practical guidance to help Sterile Processing professionals better understand and make use of the data they already have, and maybe even inspire them to measure some new things. Along the way, I’ll also feature a few of the industry insights I’ve identified from my career analyzing Sterile Processing data. 🏆 Congratulations to team AI-AI-O who stood out with their groundbreaking ideas and commitment to experimentation, embodying the very spirit of Kaizen - continuous improvement. They achieved a remarkable 31% increase in productivity when delivering new product features, exceeding their Kaizen goal! 💪

Our teams have been hustling to drive results, but we just had to take a quick break to soak up this gorgeous Tennessee weather and enjoy some yummy ice cream! 🍦☀️

At Censis, we're committed to the power of continuous improvement and teamwork. Yesterday we kicked off our President's Kaizen, bringing together 27 team members to form 3 different teams focused on seizing opportunities to enhance our service to customers, revamp our R&D processes and improve our campaign capabilities.

In the first two days our dedicated teams have already made significant strides, driving impactful changes through collaboration and relentless effort!
