“I am so grateful for Mercy’s beautiful mission and my prayer is to be the hands and feet of Christ by serving others! I love serving Spanish speaking patients and their families. One of my passions is going on medical missions to Spanish speaking countries. I have been to Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I enjoy anything outdoors, from walking and hiking to kayaking and biking! I also celebrate in going to concerts, and cheering on my favorite team – the Arkansas Razorbacks!”

Mercy’s seventeen school therapists work with students to help navigate challenges that impact personal, social development and academic growth. Mercy therapists serve the Franklin Special District, New Hope Academy and Marshall County schools and help students develop essential life skills.
It’s important to have access to mental health therapy in school. For working parents, the convenience of a Mercy therapist in the school is a support system built into the school day. For students, it’s a way to learn healthy coping skills and regulate emotions,” said Candace Longo, Director of School-based therapy.
In 2023, Mercy therapists led 12,196 student visits, ages 4-18 years old! With this healthcare demand comes the challenge to raise awareness and funds to help cover the costs of a population in need.

"I am trained in family medicine and love the opportunity to partner with patients in their health journey. What makes Mercy great? The love, devotion, and respect providers have for their patients, the comradery among staff, the joy of communicating with diverse peoples and languages, and the quality of care given to each person. I experienced this as a student completing clinical hours and knew I wanted to be part of this clinic!"
