Detroit House of Recovery
A meeting place to bring the fellowship together for recovery.
Lots of things happening around town!
"At 14, I made a wrong turn. Seeking escape from family issues, I fell into addiction with the wrong crowd. It started as a numbing comfort, but soon morphed into a destructive path. My relationships crumbled: my brother, friends, and even my own morals were sacrificed on the altar of addiction.
Alone and miserable, I numbed the pain with drugs, only for it to return stronger. It felt like a never-ending cycle. Manipulation, getting high, and self-destruction became my routine. I hit rock bottom when my daughter, the only source of joy in my addiction, was taken away.
That was the turning point. For her, for myself, I knew I needed to change.
Talking to loved ones, I sought a faith-based program and found Grace Centers of Hope. It was time to face my demons, be the man I should be, and finally sober up. The support here has been incredible. My friends and case managers have lifted me up every step of the way.
This journey has taught me it's never too late to start over. You are not defined by your past but by your future choices. Turn to God, be honest with yourself, accept your role in this, and learn to love yourself. He does."

History of the National Anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner This video was on Facebook. I'm not sure who the original compiler is, so I'm unsure to whom the credit should be attributed. I just liked this version.
