Cece’s Story:

I was at this point in my life where I had stopped trusting in God. I decided that everything was up to me - whatever good or bad thing came my way, it was my job to take care of my life and my path.

I had fallen so far from Jesus that I doubted his existence. I was in constant turmoil with my faith and wasn’t finding the answers I needed anywhere I turned.

Then came LifeHouse
One of my best friends invited me to church, I was SO skeptical and felt uncomfortable with even the idea of going back to a church. She didn’t push me, she respected my feelings, but always made it known that I was welcome there.

Next thing I know, I meet Margret and Jay at a birthday party and I’m getting invited to a day in the park. I thought I was just going to hang out for a bit and have some fun in the park. God had much bigger plans,He began using Wendy and Margaret, as well as other members of LifeHouse, to call me back home to Him. Spending time at the park with some of the LifeHouse community allowed me to feel the presence of God like I hadn’t experienced in years! Before I knew it I was crying to my husband telling him I felt God again and we need to see more of this community.

We started going to church, and while still hesitant, God kept showing up in big ways for me. I felt Him in the worship music, I heard Him in the messages, I felt Him pushing me to open up to some of the women in the women’s group. I did and they helped me start communicating with God again and start rebuilding that relationship and clearing the doubt away.

If Wendy and Margaret had not invited me to LifeHouse, I would not be opening my heart up to God again. I would still be full of doubt and at war with my faith.

As someone who has walked both paths, nothing is better without God. He makes the good times sweeter and he makes the hard times more bearable because you know you’re never carrying the burdens and pain by yourself.

I am so thankful my friend cares enough about me to have invited me to LifeHouse. I’m grateful for this community and I can’t wait to see what God has in store.

One of the most effective ways of sharing Jesus with others is by telling others how he transformed your life. Every story matters.
