Hey everybody! We are loving these changing of season wine picks for Wine Wednesdays.🤩 Read below to learn about this amazing Chardonnay and remember that ALL bottles are half off every single Wednesday here at TR.😏✨
This week’s feature, the 2020 “Les Gryphees” from Domaine Frederic Lambert, is a Chardonnay, but not your average Chardonnay. This one hails from the Jura region of France. The smallest wine region of France, the soils date back to the jurassic era. The winters are the coldest and harshest here, but the growing season is long, giving winemakers the opportunity to make sure they can achieve ripe grapes.
Most Chardonnays are buttery, oaky, and bombarding you with vanilla, but from Domaine Frederic Lambert you’ll find a more balanced, nuanced Chardonnay with notes of chamomile tea, hazelnut, lemon, and buttery flaky brioche on the palate. The body is lifted, so each sip cleanses the palate. We recommend pairing this wine with our relatively new starter, the Halloumi. So come on in, order some starters and entrees and ask your server about thisb bottle!👏
Hey TR Family… We are so sorry but we are now closed all day today Tuesday October 15th. We apologize again for any inconvenience that this causes but we plan to reopen tomorrow morning at 11:30. Thank you for your patience!❤️
The Apple Pie Moonshine IS HERE.🍂🍁 The warm spices, the Tennessee whiskey, you can order it hot or on ice… it’s the perfect fall cocktail. We love welcoming this drink back every season! The Apple Pie Moonshine is made with Tennessee whiskey, apple cider, ginger and baking spices. Come and get it!✨
🤷🏼♀️ … Happy Friday from Ernie and the rest of Tasting Room.👏 We have Happy Hour on Fridays from 3-6pm with half off wines by the glass, craft cocktails and craft beers so come and join us at the bar!
Our first ever Wine Masterclass with Marley yesterday was a success and we can’t wait to do it again!🥂👏
We came, we tasted wines, we learned about Burgundy and we left with bottles to go because everything was so good.🤷🏼♀️ Thank you Marley for the in depth learning about this famous wine region in France, it’s history and the various wines that we tasted together.
Wine Masterclasses will typically be happening 1-2 weeks before wine dinners and will focus on the same region as the wine dinners. If you’d like to go into wine dinners more informed this is the way to do it! If you just want to attend the classes, that’s cool too.🥳 See you at the next TR event!
Happy Wine Wednesday! Half off bottles all day long when you’re at TR.🥳 Read about these white wines that we recommend for the season ahead!
As we prep for the October wine dinner of Burgundy, France, we are happily updating that category on our wine list with more wines of vintage depth, regions of prominence, and a focus on small production producers so the value and quality is passed along to you.
Pictured are only a few additions of white (Chardonnay) Burgundy on our ever changing wine list! Ask your server about these wines when you come in.👏
✨️To-go bottles of wine are always half-off too btw!😉🥂
Have👏 you👏 tried👏 the👏 Halloumi.👏 Because you’re going to love it. This starter is taking over for our usual Burrata dish, bringing more of a comfort food vibe as well as flavors and ingredients that reflect the change of season. Halloumi is a cheese that originated on the island of Cyprus and is a semi hard cheese that we make crispy and delicious upon plating.🤤 You will also find a cashew leek purée, frisée, pickled lemon, harrisa honey and dukkah alongside the Halloumi. To be enjoyed on our lunch and dinner menu.✨
We cannot believe the overwhelming response to this Wine Dinner Raffle. Seriously, shocking.👀 Thank you all so much for commenting and sharing and participating! We took every submission from Facebook and Instagram and randomly chose our winner…

Happy Wine Wednesday! Yesterdays Wine Dinner raffle post has really popped off!😅 We will be announcing the winner of the raffle tomorrow at 5pm.👏
In the meantime we are still having our weekly Wine Wednesday where all wine bottles are HALF OFF.✨ This week’s feature follows this months Wine Dinner theme - our 2022 reisling from Domaine Weinbach.
Built in 1612 by Capuchin Monks, then acquired by the Faller brothers in 1898, it has since stayed in the hands of the Faller family and is currently run by Catherine Faller and her two sons.
Chances are, if you’ve ever had a riesling, it was most likely from Germany, and while we love German riesling for its flowery fruitiness, nuance, and high acidity, there’s something about the intense presence of minerality that can read like gunflint or steel the effects you on a deeper level when it comes to Alsatian riesling.
Domaine Weinbach balances this intense mineral driven wine with golden apple and peach flavors and aromatic chamomile flowers. The dry, broad body is palate coating with a range for food pairing options. Our peach buratta would be a perfect pairing to begin with your dinner.👨🏻🍳
🎉ALERT🎉 Unbelievable opportunity to win 🎟️🎟️🎟️🎟️ to our next wine dinner THIS Sunday 9/29!

Cloudy Monday got you down? Just make some plans to come see us and enjoy one of our delicious and comforting desserts from Chef Brian.👏 This dessert features a local ingredient - right down the street our neighbors at Voila! Tea are the reason for this Black Tea Crème Brûlée. Earl grey tea infused, floral, decadently creamy like any good crème brûlée and topped with a blueberry marmalade. This dessert MUST be enjoyed and savored.😍 Don’t wait to try!
We are so excited to kick off the long-awaited Wine Masterclasses at The Tasting Room with local sommelier Marley! will expertly guide you through a deep dive of hyper-focused wine regions that correspond with our famous wine dinners. If you love wine and are craving more education about it, now you can grab your crew, come to TR on a Sunday and have some fun learning and tasting through iconic wines from around the world.🥂
Starting in just a few short weeks the first class will be held on Sunday October 6th from 4-5:30. This class will be about the legendary wines of Burgundy, France. Calling all Chardonnay and Pinot lovers! This also means, you guessed it, the October Wine Dinner theme is Burgundy.
Come in and enjoy 5 different wines, an educated and passionate host taking you through each one, a great hang and cheese and charcuterie for light snacks.✨
Marley has been part of the Tasting Room for 5 over years and discovered her passion for wine right here! She is an intro Sommelier from CMS, received a Level 3 Award in Wines from WSET with Distinction and is currently a Diploma (DipWSET) candidate. Anyone who’s ever attended a Marley event knows that she brings the passion and energy along with her in depth knowledge of the world of wine and its expansive culture. Let’s bring the fun back to fine wine!👏
It’s time to announce this months Wine Dinner.😍👏 It will be held on Sunday September 29th at 5pm and the theme is Alsace, France.🇫🇷 A historic wine region with centuries of wine making under its belt, distinct aromatics and known best for its Riesling and other white wines! As always the wine dinner will feature five courses expertly crafted by our chefs to accompany the wine for each course.

This weather definitely pairs well with our newly updated dinner Scallop Entrée.😍 The color palette of the dish as well as the rich, umami flavor palate. These hard seared scallops are on top of a creamy cashew purée and braised mustard greens. You can also find burdock root, hon shimeji mushrooms and furikake. Take yourself on a delicious tasting journey with this Scallop dish & happy Friday!✨
Hey y’all! Happy Wine Wednesday! Half off any and all bottles at TR.🥂 Autumn is upon us, so we’re happy to turn our attention back to red wines, and the perfect red to break the white wine streak is a Frappato from Sicily, Italy.
“From a respected land comes a respectful wine: respectful of its uniqueness and of those who will drink it because it is a healthy, sincere wine.”-Arianna Occhipinti.
Winemaker Arianna Occhipinti started her wine journey in her early 20s, and today, she is the head-winemaker of the Occhipinti winery in the city of Vittoria. This lesser known territory is a beautiful countryside of rough terrain and ancient stone roads. The soil is dynamic, ranging from calcareous sands to kimmeridgian limestone.
Arianna likes to grow her Frappato vines in the sandy soils to create wines with soft, mellow tannins and pure fruit expression. A delicate balance of flavors like ripe raspberry and cherry accompanied by an earthy fragrance of violets and wet soil create an ethereal drinking experience. The slight chill in the air will pair nicely with a bottle, and our Duck entrée. We hope to see you tonight, whether inside or on our patio. Cheers!✨
Have you all met Ernie? He is our new bar manager and has been adding his own creations to the TR cocktail menu.😍 One of which is this drink - the Trollhunter. A deliciously bright concoction made with Swedish punsch, overproof rum, ginger, lime, mint and angostura bitters.✨
This weather is the PERFECT excuse to be wining and dining out on our market street/church street patio.😍 Pick your favorite entree, ask your server for a wine pairing and call it a night.👏 Our clam pasta features littleneck clams, linguine, herb butter emulsion, crunchy pancetta breadcrumb and is paired with this gorgeous Tempranillo!
