We are pleased to report that Vivian Schleeter has been found safe. Thank you to everyone who assisted in the search and shared our message.

The Frederick Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating Vivian Schleeter, age 60. She was last seen on 7/15 around 5:15 p.m. near the doctor's offices on Thomas Johnson Drive.

We urge residents to be vigilant and report any sightings or information regarding Vivian's whereabouts.

If you have seen Vivian or have any information, please contact the Frederick Police Department at 301-600-2102.

This evening we had the honor to present the second Marbery F. Gates Service Cup award nominee plaque from the Maryland State Firefighter's Association convention to one of our life members and Past Chief Warren E. Stevens for his 56 years of service to United.

This award was established by the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department and accepted by the MSFA Executive Committee in 1981 to honor over fifty (50) years of active service performed by charter member, Mr. Marbery F. Gates of Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland.

Additionally, Past Chief Stevens with his son's (Past Chief Pat Stevens and Life Member Past Assistant Chief Evan Stevens) and grandson's (FF/EMT Luke Stevens and FF/EMT Conner Stevens) present was awarded with the Family Legacy achievement award for multigeneratios being in the fire service.

Warren may not get down to the station as much as he would like these days but we like having him there when he does make it.

The City of Frederick is gearing up to welcome thousands of visitors this Thursday for the 4th of July festivities. Here are some tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration:

🚧 Road Closures: Please expect road closures and plan your travel routes accordingly.

🎆 Firework Safety: Be a good neighbor and practice safe, legal firework usage. Remember, ground-based sparklers are the ONLY legal and permitted fireworks in Frederick.

💧 Stay Hydrated: If you're outdoors in the heat for extended periods, remember to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Carry water and take breaks in shaded areas.

"6-30-24: First fire for the new Rescue Squad 3 rig United Steam Fire Engine Co #3. 12 box was initially dispatched for the electrical hazard in the house on Brookside Drive. Initial crews on scene asked Frederick to fill the box due to worsening fire conditions. Fire in the electrical panel in basement. RID requested. Squad 2 also responded as special service on the initial box alarm assignment."

We are pleased to show that our 2024 Pierce Arrow XT, Heavy Duty Rescue Squad is in production. Today, we received our first production report showing the cab and body are well underway. In a couple months, our Committee members will be heading to Appleton, Wisconsin for its final inspection. Stay tuned! We will keep you posted on the progress.

Rescue Squad 3 was called to assist as the second due Rescue on this accident with entrapment. Crews worked to free the patient within the golden hour. Great job by all.
