Equanimity, for me, is a resting into neutral, neutral in the way of the pacifist, articulating themselves with a gravity that softens horizons.
Equanimity roots me into emptiness as I sit on the precipice of my own skin inhabiting the cilia in my lungs and the rim of my pores at the same time.
Equanimity is a straddling of worlds or maybe through them...weaving them into the fabric of the ocean between us, each wave an invitation to come back to the midline through micromovements and breath.
Equanimity is a practice of opening the bubbling spring at the sole of the foot and having a conversation with my wider body. Soul to sole.
It’s a soft paddle in the center of the lake in my heart. Nowhere to go. Already here.

Responding to our inner child with care is the renegotiation. Responding with care is the healing.
The science of attachment research (not the same thing as attachment parenting) points to responsive care as the key ingredient to building strong relationships. This means when a baby cries, we try to soothe and help them, while trying to figure out what they need. We can't be perfect at this, because it's a learning process! That’s okay, & how we form an attachment❣️
This is the gift that changed the world.

I want to have a pure soul, to speak only words of truth, and to live that truth in everything I think and feel and do. I want to show the people I love that I love them and oh, how I love them they ought to know. I want to show my own inner self. I want the world to see who I am. I want to show the colours, all the colours of my soul and my heart that got rid of all the blackness of the past. I want to be heartfelt emotion, and vulnerability, and strength. I want to be fearlessness. I want to be a rainbow. I want to be a golden queen. I want to be the maze you never ever want to leave.

Some people ask me to design breath practices that help with falling asleep, quieting anxiety and overwhelm, self compassion, grief and the complexities of being human.
Breath is medicine.
The nervous system doesn't speak English - it speaks tone of voice, touch, and breath. When we change our breath, we change our nervous system state. We can bring the system up, we can bring it down, we can stabilize it and we can shift our perspective from gripped to expansive and receptive.
It is an honor and a privilege to design an individualized breath practice.
