My name is Audrey Grisez and I have been a licensed childcare provider here in Frederick since 1981. I feel early childhood education is very important. All children learn differently in their own way and at their own pace. At Fun Acres Daycare, I work with each child on an individual basis. PART 1 Catching up on pictures from the last 8 weeks. My apologies from the delay. I fell and the fractures I have required my amazing sub to be here for the first 6 weeks to assist me. These next several posts will be a snapshot of the last 8 weeks and posted in no particular order. I want to thank Caleb's mom for helping us release our baby praying mantis. My little entomoligist.

As some of you know I fell and have 2 fractures which required me to have my amazing sub help me for 6 weeks. My apologies for the delay in posting these Father's Day pictures which I took in June of 2024
Posting out of order since we just have to wish our sweet Ivy a Happy Happy 3rd Birthday. We love you Ivy!!!! This month we have been studying Ocean animals. Ivy picked her lunch menu Octopus shaped hot dogs, waffle fries, blueberries, strawberries and bananas. A few pictures in the comments.

PART 3 Caterpillers to butterflies. Putting the chrysalis in the habitat to wait for our butterflies to emerge. 3 chrysalis did not stay attached to the lid so we will have to hope that the emerge without bent wings. Ksenia very gently held one that had fallen and was amazing as it shook in her hand. I love watching them learn about nature.
PART 2 Caterpliiers to butterflies. Shinning a light on the chrysalis to see if they can see any of the colors the butterflies will be.

Daycare parents if I forgot to tell you about this here is the info. It is from 10 until 3. I will be there at the Frederick County Daycare Association at that table. Sepi. Niko"s mom will be there at a her table intoducing her upcoming business. Bring the children and come see us. It's in the bandshell area.
