A delicious lemon blueberry cake with lemon buttercream and blueberry filling that I made this past weekend for my father-in-law's birthday :).

I am downright craving a slice of this right now, it was so good!

I whipped up a strawberry shortcake for a dear friend who will be celebrating a birthday soon! I absolutely love the combination of fresh strawberries and whipped cream frosting to make this classic dessert.

Mermaids are quite popular nowadays! What other themed cakesicles would you like to see me make?

Whipped up a dairy free brownie cake with some dairy free frosting for a family mother's day bbq later today!

It was neat being able to work with ingredients that I don't normally use to create a classic dessert!

May is a very important and special month for Baked with Hope! If you haven't noticed by now, our name and the colors of our logo represent messages and symbols associated with Huntington's Disease (HD).

The colors blue and purple represent the two forms of HD: Adult and Juvenile onset.

The message of "hope" is huge in the HD community. We hold onto the hope that one day there will be a cure for the families affected by this disease.

If you're new to this page and have no idea what HD is then I'll explain it in a very simple way:
Imagine someone having Alzheimers, ALS, and Parkinson's Disease all in one package, thus you have Huntington's Disease.
It is a rare disease that can be inherited and it causes the breakdown of nerve cells in the brain, eventually affecting one's ability to speak, engage in coordinated movements, and regulate their behaviors.

Every May, Baked with Hope offers a discount to those who place an order and donate to the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA). Your donation goes to an organization that will put that money towards the research so desperately needed to find a cure for HD.

Please consider donating this month to a very important cause!

Hey everyone!

It has been awhile! Your girl is slowly getting back into baking up some delicious goodies. I will be graduating from grad school in less than 2 weeks which will give me more time to bake (woo hoo!).

I don't know about you but I am ready for Fall and all things pumpkin flavored so naturally I had to make this Pumpkin Banana Nut Chocolate Chip Bread. It is so moist and filled with flavor and might I add even better with coffee 😉.

I look forward to being officially back very soon!

**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**

Baked with Hope customers, I will be taking a hiatus from now until October. As some of you may know I am currently in my last semester of my Graduate degree program. Keeping up with the business on the side in addition to working on a thesis, additional classes, and also accruing hours towards a certification related to my primary job is alot to juggle right now.

I am committed to putting forth great work here at Baked with Hope and I am so incredibly grateful for the support I have received so far in the last 3 months from you all! As much as I am reluctant to take a break, I know that it is necessary not only for my own mental health but for the quality of services I want to continue to provide to my valued customers.

The good news is that by October, I will have graduated and be done accruing hours for the certification I'm working on currently. I plan to make a full return for the holiday season and in the meantime while I'm on hiatus I will be working on some new recipes and improving my baking skills so that I can come back even better than before!

I plan to stay active on Instagram and on the FB page so please keep checking in to see what I'm up to baking wise. I love interacting with my customers and again I'm so grateful for each and every one of you- its because of you that I am able to keep doing what I'm doing with Baked with Hope.
