Breath, Balance, Flexibility, and Fitness: Free Fitness Trial Class At Washington Hospital West's Wellness Center.
This free trial class, happening on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, is designed for individuals who are either living or working in the Fremont and surrounding Tri-City areas.
Our curriculum is for those of us for whom maintaining a regular exercise regime has been a struggle, as well as for those of us for whom endurance and just breathing (conditions such as asthma), can be a challenge.
In addition to isometric strength and active flexibility, our unique curriculum will also include breathing exercises, adapted from those developed in sports science for professional athletes, to now be used by "everyday" individuals who can gain from getting a little extra "gas in the tank."
Our older participants are also encouraged to try out the class, as we will also include coordination and balance drills.
Complete information is on the flier.

Thursday's 10:00 a.m. "Silver Sneakers" seniors fitness class at The Mark Green Sports Center not only included strength training and flexibility, but...tossing balls at each other.😁
All kidding aside, the balls are really soft and they were just lightly tossing the balls and trying to catch them with their partners so as to work coordination.
Yes, coordination is a part of fitness.
In addition to the 10:00 a.m. class at Mark Green on Thursdays, I teach other seniors fitness classes throughout the week (pretty much 5 days a week!), At a variety of locations.
If you are in the Tri-City area and you have parents or grandparents who would like to join, message me.
More classes are opening up soon.😉
* And, on the 4th Monday of every month at 2:00 p.m. at The Fremont Main Library on Stevenson Boulevard, they are having me teach a seniors fitness class over there and it's free for the community, so stay tuned (well it's once a month, but hey, you can't beat that "price.")
Full room today for the Tai Chi class at The Fremont Main Library.
I'll be hosting FREE seniors fitness there, once a month, every month, on the 4th Monday at 2:00 p.m., alternating between aerobics and line dancing and Tai Chi.
See you next month (the Eventbrite page will be up soon.) 😉
Thanks to everyone who came and made it fun and successful.
* And in the meantime, I teach Tai Chi for seniors fitness every Monday at 9:00 a.m. at Washington Hospital West's Wellness Center and Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. at The Mark Green Sports Center in Union City.

Beginner’s Tai Chi: Effortless Energy.
Fellow active adults of the Fremont, Newark, and Union City Tri-City area, my name is Mike Quebec and as an instructor who has been privileged to teach classes geared specifically for fitness, health, and wellness enthusiasts from their 50s through their 90s in age range for the past 12 years, I'm excited to be hosting this free fitness Tai Chi class on January 9th, 2023.
It's an adapted Tai Chi (based on the Yang and Chen styles), geared for participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Experience is definitely not necessary, and the curriculum is designed to aid in improving coordination, flexibility, stamina, and balance.

Of course, it's a one-time trial class, to see if there is interest here in Fremont for a regular weekly class series here at Washington Hospital's Wellness Center.
However, we are limited to 12 participants.
So if you or someone you know is interested, reserve your space ASAP before we fill up (as these classes do tend to.)

Overhead shot of today's 9:00 a.m. morning seniors fitness class.
This class is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 a.m.
I also have an 11:30 a.m. seniors chair fitness class Monday and Wednesday (Friday it's at 11:45.)
We are at SLIM Fitness, 5437 Central Avenue Suite 3 in Newark, behind Hulbert Lumber, near Public Storage.
First timers can try us out one time for $1(!) at no obligation.
www.myslimfitness.com is the website to register for that one time try out, and of course, interested parties can always just message me directly.
Full class for this morning's (Wednesday's) 9:00 a.m. Seniors Fitness class at SLIM Fitness (5437 Central Ave Suite 3 in Newark, near Hulbert Lumber, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.)
www.myslimfitness.com has all the info, including how to try it out one time, with no obligation, for the exorbitant fee of $1!
Take a step (and a punch and a kick!) toward reaching your personal fitness goals by trying out our fitness kickboxing "Fight Club" class, one time, for ONE BUCKAROO(!), on one of two Wednesdays (only one of 'em), either on February 23 or March 2, 2022!
It's not "self defense" (no one in their right mind would claim that a FITNESS-oriented kickboxing class would teach that), but it is kicking, punching, push-upping, sit-upping, crunching, squatting, sweating, panting, and all of the other "ings" that'll burn off and tone up everything you'll need to get into shape! (How's that for honest advertising?)
This offer is for FIRST TIMERS, who have never tried out our class before (sorry regulars, you already know how modestly awesome the class is, and we've already locked you in), and paying $1.00 for one of the two dates is for a no obligation trial lesson, for you to see if what we have to offer works for you, and honestly, to see if we dig you, too (hey, we want participants who are ready to work hard when they come!)
* Space is limited. Complete information, as well as reserving your spot, can be done on Eventbrite at the link below:
