Our friends at Swede Fest are having their final festival of amazing short re-creations of films at the historic Tower Theatre this Friday. Please join us as we celebrate this truly wonderful event that has been happening in Fresno and that will be sadly missed.
SWEDE FEST, the only film festival for homemade, summarized re-creations of your favorite Hollywood movies, is returning to The Tower Theatre for the final time on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17. FREE! ALL AGES! Doors open at 6:30pm, films at 7pm. “Sweding” takes the best and worst movies that come out of Hollywood and combines them with the creativity and ingenuity of their greatest fans.
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Joy Quigley. Joy served for many years on the Fresno Filmworks board of directors, including as President and film festival director. She was a filmmaker and champion of films from all over the world. She will be greatly missed and remain in our hearts. Our deepest sympathy to Peter McDonald and to all who loved her. Happy Winter Solstice, dear Joy.

Our Mobile Adoption & Rescue Caboose (MARC) will be on location at Strummer's this Sunday where Fresno Filmworks will show "Free Puppies," a film about rescue dogs in the South and a group of women dog rescuers. We will be there at noon and the film begins at 1:30 p.m. Join us! 🎞️

We feel optimistic that we will be able to have our first movie and dinner at TBI, outside for safety reasons, on September 18. The movie is HEADING HOME, a great story about the Israeli baseball team going to the 2018 Olympics. Current CDC SAFETY guidelines will be observed and enforced.

We're happy to announce that Fresno Filmworks is an exhibition partner in California Film Institute Education’s National Teen Film Club. Through its longstanding relationship with Sunnyside High School Video Production Academy, Filmworks enlisted five students to participate in the Film Club. These local students join 35 others from across the country who are passionate about cinema.
