Summertime is my favorite time of the year. Yes, even here in our 102* valley heat. It’s nostalgic for me, reminding me of running through the sprinklers, slip n’ slides, swimming, watermelon, skipping stones at the lake, sleeping in.. although I may not do some of those things anymore, I still love it. Stay cool out there. 💦 🍉🏊‍♀️

Here’s a little thing I did a while back.

Hair in the time of Covid.
I wonder how the history books will describe this time? How many of you are journaling. As much as we’re going to want to never look back, there are going to be times when you talk about this time with your children or grandchildren. What will you say about how you handled it all? Will you be proud of the character you showed?
Things that I’m wondering about myself.
I know my granddaughter will remember some things since she’s turning five soon but hopefully my grandson, who just turned two won’t because it will be long gone by the time he’s old enough. I just hope their future is bright and they remain as beautifully unscathed as before it started. For now, I will do what I can to be a decent human and a good example for them. I guess that’s all any of us can do.

P.s I cried like a baby to my mama yesterday and I feel better. So don’t forget to allow yourself a good cry or scream into you pillow, that helps too.

When life gives you lemons..
it’s been a tough year for us all yet we persevere.
We make lemonade.. or sourdough bread. Or sometimes, we change our hair color.

I was like, wow, when I saw these. Couldn’t decide which one to share, so I had to share them all (last four were taken by me).
This is a great example of how differently hair photographs depending on the light.
A major color correction because I was taking her from a redhead to a blonde which is one of the more challenging transformations. If you know, you know😉 but I luuuuv a good challenge.

Now, go make that lemonade!!
