Central Valley Regional Center Board of Directors attended the ARCA Academy Training on Friday, September 6th, and Saturday, September 7th, 2024.

They gathered in San Bernadino for the Board Development and Leadership Event, in which our board trained to increase their skills and knowledge in the Regional Center mission, advocacy, and leadership, among other areas.

Thank you to our Board of Directors for your commitment to our system, to CVRC, and to the thousands of individuals and families we serve.

Central Valley Regional Center, Inc. had the privilege of attending the The Arc of Fresno and Madera Counties Talent Show at Roger Rocka's Dinner Theater tonight, and what an incredible display of talent it was! The performers truly shone on stage, showcasing their creativity and passion.

Aaron Olson, Director of Community Services, Dr. Anthony Ash, Federal Compliance Program Manager, and Jermaine Rodriguez, Service Coordinator attended this event on behalf of CVRC to cheer on these amazing individuals and celebrate the success of ARC’s program.

Other community partners like Pam Scarano with Community Vocational Services Inc were also at this event.

It’s nights like these that remind us why we do what we do—supporting programs that uplift and showcase the best in our community.

Central Valley Regional Center, Inc. attended the Rawhide Game in Visalia on Sunday September 1st, for a day of baseball with individuals served and families. Many CVRC Staff attended as well as nearby resources that support the individuals we serve.

At our first town hall in this incredible community, we listened closely to what families had to say about how we can improve our programs. Every year the California Department of Developmental Services Contracts with regional centers in California to serve individuals and families. The meeting will reflect information of the Performance Contract Fiscal Year 2024-2025.

Please join us at 4615 N. Marty, Fresno at the San Joaquin room on June 25th at 6pm as we review the Performance Contract to share information and to seek feedback from the community. A Zoom link to the meeting is also available in our bio.

CVRC attended the Chaffee Zoo Pride event on Saturday, June 8th.
Special signs were made for this event to promote CVRC's mission for inclusivity.

CVRC Board President, Dana Collins & CVRC Executive Director, Ed Araim celebrated the retirement of Don Sowers Executive Director of PSW on Friday, May 31st, 2024.

Here Dana and Ed presented Don with a gift for his commitment and support to our individuals and families served in the city of Porterville and its surrounding areas.

CVRC attended and had a booth at the Fresno Rainbow Wave Pride event at Fresno City College on Saturday, June 1st, 2024.

Organized by the outreach team and led by Director, Aaron Olson and Program Manager, Anthony Ash, staff and guests attended this major event to support our community and "Navigate Through The Current."

Central Valley Regional Center celebrates at the Eagle Mountain Casino Cultural Diversity Event on May 21, 2024.

Cultural Outreach Specialist, Natasha Ambriz and Outreach Specialist, Rosario Palacios are wearing Hanboks. This is traditional Korean attire worn for celebrations and holidays.

Also in attendance is Program Manager, Jeaneane Yturralde and Service Coordinator, Miriam Bermudez.

CVRC is committed to the inclusion and celebration of cultures and diverse people that make up our Central Valley.

Central Valley Regional Center advocated for individuals with disabilities at the state capitol in Sacramento, Ca. for the May Day Rally on Tuesday, May 21st.

Assistant Director of Case Managment, Shelley Celaya; Program Manager, Jamie Gonzalez; and Program Manager, Stephanie Van Dyken were accompanied in the march at noontime by staff from ARC Fresno, Cameron Grisham (far left), Executive Director of ARC Fresno, Tamika Hill (second on the right), Executive Director of Community Vocational Services, Pam Scarano (far right) and individuals served to remind legislatures that "We Are Counting On You."

As wildfire season approaches, it's important to have as much knowledge as possible to prepare.
