At New Perceptions North, we offer a safe environment of community support & high quality care.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a treatment program used to target addictions that do not require 24/7 supervision. IOP therapy allows the patient to have a more normal daily routines which may involve family, school or employment. Patients visit our treatment center several days a week for a few hours at a time to help sustain a path to lasting recovery. Unlike our Inpatient Residential Treatment Center, it does not require participants to live at the facility, but supports the flexibility to continue their daily lives.

The New Perceptions North Intensive Outpatient Program is a great option for people who are raising a family and they cannot leave for 60 to 90 days in order to overcome their addiction. Individuals who need to be home at night in order to care for their family can take advantage of our daily group sessions and still maintain the healthy commitments they have in everyday life. Family members also an integral part of this process, often joining in group therapy sessions.

Our IOP facility is conveniently located in Fresno CA.

IOP hours: 8am-10pm (day treatment + evening treatment).

At New Perceptions North, we offer day and evening treatments.

~You cannot save people. You can only love them. ~

Sometimes that love is tough love. As hard as it is, sometimes that means kicking them out of your house. Sometimes that means cutting them off financially.

Oftentimes, parents, spouses or loved ones will enable their loved one who has a substance abuse issue because they think this is love. This is not love, enabling is killing your loved one. If your addict loved one is angry at you for the way you are loving, chances are you are loving them the right way that will help them, not push them deeper into their addiction.

If you love someone with substance abuse and you need help navigating on what to do, we are here for you.

Call 559.388.8273 or visit our website at www.newperceptionsnorth.com.

You don’t have to do this alone.

One moment at a time… one day at a time. Progress not perfection!

12/27/2021

We’ve all heard the saying, “You are who you hang out with!” And if you’re working on your recovery, hanging out with the same people you partied with and they’re still using substances and/or drinking, the chances of you relapsing is not just strong but it’s a promise you’ll fall right back into using.

You need to find a new group of friends that are going to encourage you to stay on the right path. Even if you have just one solid friend, that’s better than a dozen who are going to influence you to stay in your addiction.

If you have made the choice to start in your recovery but are in need of help or resources, we are here for you.

Why Seek Residential Treatment?

Residential treatment programs like our’s, allow individuals in need of addiction-related treatment to receive 24-hour care designed to meet their specific needs. At residential treatment centers, individuals typically have access to a higher level of care than can be provided through individual, family, or group therapy alone.

There are many different levels of care available for people seeking substance abuse treatment. There are outpatient care programs, intensive outpatient programs, inpatient programs, residential treatment, group therapy and support meetings.

People choose to go to residential treatment for a variety of issues. However, there are certain struggles that almost always call for or are better served by a residential level of care.

Certain factors may make residential treatment a more appropriate fit:

Lack of adequate supports at home or in the community
Previous experience with lower levels of care with little or no symptom relief
Experienced a relapse after previous treatment
Concerns about exposure to triggers or being able to maintain treatment while remaining at home
Seeking treatment for your substance abuse disorder is vital to your recovery. A recent study showed that people who did not try to get help for their addiction were less likely to make it beyond the three-year mark in sobriety and were more likely to relapse. The same study also showed that 62% of those who received professional help at a residential treatment facility remained in recovery for three years or more after treatment. Also, 57% of those who made it to the three-year mark remained substance-free for many more years. This study and many others show that seeking professional treatment is vital to success in recovery and continued sobriety.
