We proudly serve the communities of Clear Lake, Friendswood, Pasadena, Pearland, Seabrook & Webster.
A sisterhood of more than 200,000 college educated women, the Sorority currently has over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic of Korea.

Congratulations to the ladies of appointed to the Regional Leadership team! This weekend they attended the Southwest Regional Leadership Retreat in Shreveport, LA, along with elected leaders, to fellowship with other leaders and execute perspective, vision and a plan for each respective committee.

Music 🎶 , great energy and passionate volunteers are ready to meet, great and REGISTER you, your kids, your friends, your kids’ friends and anyone else who wants piece of mind 😌 that they are good to VOTE for the November 5th election!
The last day to register to vote is Monday, OCTOBER 7th, 2024. Remember, YOU CANNOT REGISTER ONLINE, you must register in person. Don’t delay, DO SOMETHING! Register AND BRING YOUR SOUL TO THE POLL!

Service is deeply "Rooted in our Sisterhood ". The Bay Area Houston Alumnae Chapter teamed up with the Assistance League of the Bay Area again to support their “Ready to Work”. This program provides men and women with interview ready attire to re-enter the workforce!
With over 100 sisters participating, we collected over 70 Suits, 20 pairs of Shoes, and a variety of jewelry and handbag accessories for this program. BAHA gave BIG!
Kuddos to the Mighty Membership Committee for planning, organizing and executing this service project!

Today, August 26, is National Women’s Equality Day! The day commemorates the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment of the Constitution which gave women the right to vote. The Founders of Delta Sigma Theta joined the fight for women’s suffrage as their first public act in 1913 and we have been working on the frontlines ever since.
Black women fought for the right to vote for all women and continued the fight to secure voting rights for Black Americans for decades to come. The Voting Rights Act was not signed until 1965 providing the right to vote to Black men and women.
Our fight to protect voting rights and access to the ballot is far from over, however, today we renew our energy by honoring the fortitude of those that came before us.

With almost 200 visiting and seasoned BAHA Sorors registered and in attendance, our AWARD-WINNING Membership Committee marked this as the largest attended Sisterhood Retreat in BAHA History! 🔥
Our MIGHTY Membership Services Committee energized Sorors through intentional nourishment of growth in our Sisterhood connections, elevated our Scholarship with intentional preparation in Social Action for upcoming elections, and engaged with Sorors in Service with clothing donations to the Assistance League of the Bay Area for their Ready to Work initiative!

What a fantastic end to the sorority year! members enjoyed a social hour, spectacular brunch with sisterly fellowship, and exciting award presentations. BAHA issued over $29K in scholarships to deserving high school students and awarded Sorors with standout commitment, leadership and service excellence with various accolades and acknowledgments.
Seeing the smiles, laughter and love as we celebrated another successful year as a growing and thriving chapter was simply heartwarming.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. joins in the celebration of to commemorate June 19, 1865, a date two and a half years after emancipation when our enslaved ancestors in Texas, the most remote “slave-holding” state, were finally informed they were free.
As we celebrate freedom, let us never cease in our efforts to empower our communities and elevate our impact in the memory of our ancestors!

Sorors of the BLAZING Southwest are headed to the Live Music Capital of the World -- Austin, Texas -- for the 49th Southwest Regional Conference!
Over 5,000 members, in-person and virtual, from across Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, and Jamaica are coming together to engage, empower, and elevate because "We Are One: One Mission, One Love."

Black By Community Demand! ECONOMoves at A&E BEAUTY SUPPLY in Pearland, Texas!
Operation is focused on keeping black businesses as permanent pillars of our communities. Sorors and their families gather at a designated black-owned business, for a designated time, to provide Delta generated revenue and customers that impact the business bottom line. We then highlight our impact hour on our social media to inspire recurring business through our network.

The H.O.P.E. Award is given to a nonmember individual, a company, or a group for significant contribution to the chapter. When Jill Williams joined in 2000, she brought Stuart Williams, who gave his spirit of caring and commitment to working with the chapter. The Heroes of Positive Endeavors Award is a tribute to Stuart's life and service to the chapter.
The Bay Area Houston Alumnae Chapter-Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is known for its outstanding service.
As a purpose-driven nonprofit organization, its mission centers around providing assistance and support through established programs in local communities. The organization's tireless efforts benefit the communities of Clear Lake, Friendswood, Pearland, Pasadena, Seabrook, and Webster.
Specifically supporting Assistance League of the Bay Area, they have made prom dreams come true by providing jewelry, shoes, and special dresses.
Additionally, their donations of undergarments for the Assault Survivor Kits program empower children and adults who have been victimized by sexual assault or domestic abuse.
The chapter also contributes time and talent to an award-winning resale shop, raising crucial funds for Assistance League philanthropy programs.
The impact of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Bay Area Houston Chapter extends far and wide, and they are deserving of the H(eroes) O(f) P(ositive) E(ndeavors) Award.
