Welp, in a first for us, we had a cake layer BREAK while building it for an order… luckily, this is for a long-time client who had ordered just to try it, and he was very gracious about letting me remake it… but I’m looking for someone who would want to purchase a last-minute s’mores chocolate cake trifle for $20! Comes with its own brand new Rubbermaid container 🤣😂- moist chocolate cake, roasted marshmallow buttercream, toasted graham cracker crumbles and chunks, toasted marshmallow brittle, and chopped chocolate pieces! It is huge, and I do NOT need dessert for 437 people sitting here for ME to eat! Message me if you want to buy it before I find a new home for this delicious reimagining of a menu item!

P.S. And in the matter of being open, considering I put pics up when it looks great…. I’m including the not-so-pretty-but-tastes-so-freaking-good pics for you lol!

Just popping on to say I hope you all had a SWEET weekend, and nothing too crazy happened… because THIS lady was trudged through flash flood waters today and got herself on a pedestal for making it though- literally! 😂 A beauty for an afternoon tea party bridal shower, and she made it come hell or high water! Okay, hello sweet friends! Look, this baker has been upside down busy, but I PROMISE I will release the next seasonal menu this week! In the meantime, we rolled out 15 dozen of our large cookies today, and it reminded us of our very FIRST official order back in 2015! It was 30 dozen large cookies that took more than 40 pounds of flour, 3 adults, 2 full 12 hour days of anxiety, and a leap of faith. Todays order was unusually large for a random Tuesday, but this order was half that size, now only took 8 total hours, and one adult. We’ve learned a lot in almost 9 years, but the heart remains the same. Thanks for the reminder, Universe!

Last-minute pie order this week, and it reminded me how much I love pie! Like, it is my favorite dessert of all time, and it took every ounce in my soul to not keep it for myself! Berry season will be here soon, so I foresee a ton in our future! 

Spring is upon us, and what better way to enjoy it than with dried pineapple flowers? TOTALLY!! These Hummingbird cakes were a winner for a local event- what sweet gathering do you have coming up? Don’t forget your favorite part of any day- DESSERT!!

We have been SO busy and have not posted any dessert pics in a hot minute, but look at this cutie delivery boy today! You can’t see it completely, but he’s sporting our new Hazel’s Dessert Shoppe t-shirt as he is handing off a pie to a customer! Shout out to Travis Kirk Coombs for remaking a logo for us, and to Ashley Hayes and Brad Hayes of Scribbles USA for making our shirts- we LOVE them!!

Just took the last Thanksgiving pie out of the oven, and am super Thankful this morning! We took a very limited amount of orders this year so we could spend some family time away on vacation, and for a bakery business, the days leading up to Thanksgiving are the VERY busiest of the year! Thank you to ALL OF YOU who make us who we are, the last 8 years could not have been possible without your support!

Good Friday morning!  I am really just hopping on to say that I got a super special text message this morning from somebody who we delivered dessert to yesterday, and it has totally made my day! There are not a whole lot of opportunities as adults to have someone truly pat you on the back, and it made me stop in my tracks and remember why I even do this! I have not been super great about keeping up with pictures of orders on social media, and honestly, I’m not even sure if my current menu is even up yet, but I promise you the quality and heart still goes into every order we take! Here is to enjoying your Friday morning coffee with a sweet treat, and hopefully me getting my menu act together for you this weekend! Fresh focaccia bread was a HIT today, and bread for once came in as #1 over Christmas dessert for us as sweets lovers!! I mean, garlic sea salt, 5 herb, Mediterranean olive, garlic, and oregano, and Everything but the bagel seasoning made four different lunch accompaniments! Except, they were all so good, it almost became the main course! Cheesecake squares were delish, and perfect small portions for our bread-full bellies!! Merry Christmas to you all!

Happy Thanksgiving from our kitchen to yours!! We so love all of our customers- thank you for continually supporting our small business, and allowing us to provide sweet treats for your family holidays! We TOTALLY forgot to take many pics, but remembered as we were finishing our bread products- shout out to our bread making assistant extraordinaire, Joey!! We CANNOT do Thanksgiving week without his skills at bread making and dish washing lol!

Okay, so some pics from the last few weeks during our record heat and extra busy summer season! We had the opportunity to fill orders with a lot of our normal favorites, plus host a few events in the local community! We are looking towards the fall, and can’t wait for what we can bring you in the next several months leading up to the holidays!

So it's not dessert related, we have pics to post later on that, but here is our owner and lead baker in a few pics taken recently! We are hoping to use them in parts of some new advertising- what do you think? Next time, maybe we should bring in a ton of desserts and just do a whole shoot of yumminess with a cute dress- because what is better than dressing up and desserts?? NOTHING!

Well our deceased old bluey had a sister arrive- meet our newest lifesaver!

RIP to the one that got me through the first 7 years of our business! She was 13 years old, but trudged along like a champ…. until yesterday when she decided it was her time to rest lol!
