Our Football teams season starts Tuesday. On Friday August 30th we are having our SORTING DAY for students. Please no parent pick ups after 1:30pm, we will be celebrating our houses.

9th Period is tomorrow, Friday August 23, after school! Wristbands will be distributed during lunch. If your student is not yet a PTA member, they can join online tonight at cobbpta.org or at lunch tomorrow. Membership is $15 and will get them into socials all year long! Please plan to pick up your student at 5:45pm, upon the conclusion of the event.

Welcome Ms Freeman!

Ms. Freeman is our new Receptionist and your first point of contact. She is the one who answers the phone, the door, and many questions from students and staff all day. She is a Mom with two daughters ages 6 and 2.She grew up in Mexico finishing high school there before attending San Diego State University, History was her favorite subject in school. Her favorite thing to do when not at school is to have picnics with her daughters. Help send a warm welcome to Ms. Freeman!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope your summer was healthy and filled with fun, and quality time with your loved ones.
Here is a video with details to help you be ready for the first day of school. Make sure to take a few minutes to watch!

Morning Arrival
Doors will be unlocked at 7:45. Students will wait in the cafeteria until 8:05 when dismissed to go to class. Breakfast is over at 8:15. If your student will eat breakfast, they must arrive early enough to finish breakfast before 8:15.
Car Riders
Drop-off lanes: Lane 1
Drop off in the back of the school, pulling all the way up!
Through traffic: Lanes 2 & 3

Afternoon Dismissal
All students not with a teacher in tutorials, detention, practice, or a school-sponsored event should be out of the building at 3:50 p.m.
Car Riders
Pick-up lanes: Lanes 1 & 3
Through, exiting traffic: Lane 2 (different from the morning)
Pick-up locations:
6th & 7th Grades – south side near the tennis courts
8th Grade – north side near the cafeteria

Please be mindful of your speed in the parking lot and refrain from using your cell phone.

Do not use the private parking lots of surrounding businesses - like the Primrose School.

The first few weeks are always the most congested and slowest moving. As more students start walking or riding their bikes, there will be improvements to the traffic flow. The highest traffic drop-off times are from about 8:07 to 8:17.

Other Food & Drink Reminders
Students should bring a refillable water bottle daily.
We do NOT accept food drop-offs for students, if they forget their lunch at home, they can get something from the cafeteria.

Student ID Cards
Along with other Frisco campuses, Cobb students will be required to wear Student IDs on a lanyard around their neck (not in their pocket) every school day this year. ID cards and lanyards will be passed out in the first couple days of school and students will be responsible for having them each day after that. Please help your child remember to bring their ID every day before leaving the house.

Monday Morning
Students - as usual, we will begin the first day of school with your 5th-period teacher to review our grade level and lunch assemblies. At 8:05 Monday, report directly to your 5th-period teacher.

Schedules
If you previously logged in to look at your schedule, please log in to HAC again as some classes may have changed since last week. We want to make sure every student has access to their most current schedule. Please either print out your schedule or write it down for easy reference. You will NOT be able to use your cell phones throughout the day to access screenshots!

My Project

I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to every one for making the Cobb Kickoff such a huge success! The event was a tremendous win, with fantastic Spirit Wear sales, numerous membership signups, and generous Write A Check donations.
The hard work truly paid off!

A special thank you goes out to all the volunteers who worked the event, those who helped with setup, and everyone who proudly represented the PTA in their board shirts while balancing parent duties with their kids.

Your dedication and teamwork made all the difference. Thank you for your continued commitment to our school community!
