I Love Frisco.com
Reasons to Live, Work, & Play in Frisco, Texas by The Yeatman Team, Ebby Halliday I do this as a community service. Hope you enjoy this page.
This page was created to share all the cool things going on in Frisco as well as the unique character of the people that live here. It is my intention to promote the small businesses, as well, to ensure their success against the big brands. I live, work, and play in Frisco myself and decided to fill a void that I thought was missing. My day job is Real Estate so staying on top of the City happenings is my bread and butter!

I love Frisco but this sucks. My Dad is a Vet and retired fireman so this hits home. Our firemen see the worst of the worst. They are there to clean up after the deaths of countless people in our City at homes and on the roads.
There is not excuse for the lack of humanity. Charity begins at home. Our first responders deserve better.
Today we say goodbye to another member faced with retirement. However, this retirement is not by choice. After 27 years of service to the citizens of Frisco, Assistant Chief Cameron Kraemer has been given his letter of termination while on temporary leave seeking treatment for PTSD.
Assistant Chief Kraemer went on leave in August 2022 seeking counseling and assistance for what would later be diagnosed as PTSD. In December 2022, Chief Kraemer attempted to file Workers' Compensation for PTSD, under the 504.019 labor code. The City of Frisco, in its usual fashion as the self-insured, argued against his claim. He was later denied Workers' Compensation for his PTSD and is currently in the appeals process.
Regrettably, Assistant Chief Kraemer has been terminated by the City of Frisco after 27 years of service, without being given the opportunity to go through the appeals process and contested case hearings. It is disheartening to witness the dismissal of a FireFighter with significant tenure in this way, particularly in a city that prides itself on its care and regard for its employees.
Workers' Compensation issues for your first responders, like the one at hand, are not uncommon in Frisco. This is the very reason why we are engaged in the creation and championed those who pushed for passage of House Bill 471 at the State Legislature.
Our association member Cameron Kraemer has asked us to inform the public about this issue. Unfortunately, Chief Kraemer's sole option at present is to engage with the public through multiple media platforms and council meetings, as he endeavors to appeal not only his Workers' Compensation claim but now his termination. We are committed to providing our members with the support they deserve and will continue to push equitable procedures concerning their livelihood, considering the risks they take while fulfilling their duties.
It’s almost tee time!
Property tax appraisals will be coming out soon. Overall, Frisco is up over 20% so you really need to have a reason to appeal....ie' you didn't file homestead, you just purchased at a lower amount, you back to power lines or a busy road, there are conditions about your property that a computer generated analysis would not reveal. Listen to the podcast below to explain the process.
