Hello Hicks Elementary Timberwolves!!

If you missed the deadline to order your Wrap Pack School Supplies, we will have a limited quantity available for purchase at the upcoming back to school events, and on our PTA website on August 1st.

If you would like to shop for your own supplies, click the link to see the lists for each grade level. Please note- the majority of your child(ren)'s supplies will be distributed among their classrooms and specials for community use rather than stay with your student(s) in their desk or backpack.

Did you know Hicks Elementary PTA partners with Lewisville ISD Education Foundation each year to award a scholarship to a graduating High School Senior who attended Hicks Elementary?

Now YOU can support LEF as well! Their Back to School Fair is coming up, so if you'd like to help make an impact in our LISD community, this is a great (and easy!) opportunity!

Back To School Fair Lewisville ISD’s Back-to-School Fair is an annual event that provides more than 6,000 students with free backpacks, supplies and resources to start the school year.

Save the date for our Kindergarten Meet & Greet on Monday August 5th, from 4pm-5pm at Hicks Elementary. This event is a great way for incoming kindergarten students to meet new friends and have some fun! We will also have popsicles, popcorn, and more!! See you there!

Other important dates:

Monday August 5- Immediately following Kinder Meet & Greet is Popcorn & Popsicles with the Principals from 5pm- 6pm for all other grade levels.

Tuesday, August Aug 6 -Parent Orientation:
5pm - 6pm for Kinder, 1st & 2nd grade parents
6:30pm to 7:30pm for 3rd, 4th & 5th grade parents

Thursday, August 8- Meet the Teacher from 5-6pm

Congratulations to our teachers who won prizes in our teacher appreciation week raffle! A $50 gift card to Scheels and a 1 night stay at the Omni Frisco Hotel! It was so much fun awarding our teachers these great prizes this year and we appreciate the support from community businesses!

We hope all of our Hicks Teachers and staff felt the love and gratitude that we have for all they do for our kiddos. Teacher Appreciation Week would not have been a success without our Committee Chair, Amanda Tran! A quick shoutout to Target for their donation of the vases for our “Flower Child” Event. We also want to give a shout out to Andy’s Ice Cream in The Colony, SM Catering for Taco Tuesday, Chick-fil-A at Spring Creek, HayStack Burgers on Main St! Thanks to everyone for making this past week so fun!

End of Year parties will be Tuesday, May 21st! Guidelines for student dress codes (outdoor waterslides, obstacle course, DJ and Kona Ice) Boys – swim trunks (no Speedos) and swim shirt (optional). Girls – one piece, tankini, or a two piece with a t-shirt or swim shirt worn over it. Please bring a towel, dry change of clothing (with undergarments), and a bag to transport wet clothing in. Swim or water shoes are encouraged to prevent slipping. Please apply sunscreen at home. If you'd like to volunteer please see the link!
