Every dollar raised will help fund our critically-needed Infusion Center expansion at St. Jude Medical Center, ensuring that every patient can receive the care they need, when they need it, in the most compassionate and timely manner.

Thank you Fullerton Rotary Club for selecting Providence St. Jude Medical Center as a recipient of the Community Investment Award! This generous grant will be used for low-income seniors needing financial assistance for resources, such as medical equipment and prescriptions, not covered by insurance. The 30-year partnership with Rotary as been essential for creating healthier communities within Orange County. We are grateful for their continuous generosity!

Neighbors Helping Neighbors 2024 | Providence St. Jude Memorial Foundation May 2, 2024

Next week is National Nurses Week – a time to recognize the extraordinary contributions of the nurses who dedicate their lives to caring for others. We recently had the honor of having Buena Park Police Detective, David Pantoja, present a check to Providence St. Jude Medical Center for $5,000 in support of the Kathryn T. McCarty Breast Center. Funds from this generous gift were raised through the Pink Patch Project, an annual t-shirt and patch sales fundraiser that the department has hosted since 2016.

Detective Pantoja was inspired to take the lead on this project for his department after experiencing the effect cancer had on his own sister. It was important to him and his team that this gift go to a place that directly impacts patients seeking both preventative care and early detection. Paula Reese, Manager of Diagnostic Imaging proudly accepted the check alongside Fannie Hansen, Director of Oncology Services.

In honor of Doctors' Day (March 30), we treated our phenomenal St. Jude Medical Center physicians to all-day complimentary Starbucks drinks and pastries from our Coffee Bar. Physicians were also invited to an on-campus health fair where they received free health screenings, chair massages, giveaways and more, all in gratitude for their compassionate care. It was a special moment meeting Tegh, the young founder of Beyblades for a Cause, and son of Providence St. Jude Medical Center physicians, Hina Sidhu, M.D., and Amarpaul Sidhu, M.D., who raised $2,500 through his Beyblade tournaments.

Thank you Fire Department and Local 3421 Fullerton Firefighters Association for the generous $11,000 gift to our Crosson Cancer Institute from their annual Fill-the-Boot campaign!

The gift was in honor of retired Assistant Chief, Larry Greene, who served FFD for 30 years, and his late wife, Sparrow Greene, who dedicated more than 35 years as an ER nurse at Providence St. Jude Medical Center.

Larry, who is currently fighting Stage 3 prostate cancer, is grateful for the compassion care Providence St. Jude Crosson Cancer Institute has provided through his journey and his wife's journey while battling cancer.

Providence St. Jude Memorial Foundation celebrated the installation of its first endowed chairs at the inaugural investiture ceremony on January 25. The significant event also honored the generosity of the donors who established the endowed funds – and served as a powerful symbol of Providence St. Jude Medical Center's connection to the communities it proudly serves.

Students from Suzanne Middle School in Walnut dropped off 100 hand-sewn scrub caps for caregivers at Providence St. Jude Medical Center. Each piece had a unique fabric pattern and was packaged with the name of the student who made the cap.
The students were taught to sew by high schooler Alina Zhang who spearheaded this project once before working with local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops. Members of the Zhang family are grateful patients of our medical center, and they give back through their gifts of time, treasure and talent.

It was the last week of March 2020 when Jonathan started to feel weak. As his hospitalization overlapped with quarantine orders, family visits were restricted during his stay, but the caregivers at Providence St. Jude Medical Center quickly filled that void of loneliness for him.
