Our next general PTA meeting will be Thursday, November 9th at 2:15 in the media center. At this meeting we’ll spend some time discussing the budget and our plans for upcoming events. Whether you’re a current PTA member or not we’d love to have you join us! If you aren’t able to attend our after school meetings but would still like to get involved in what we’re doing, reach out and we’ll be happy to catch you up!

Our second annual Trunk or Treat is this Friday! We’re going to have our trunk or treat trail, but this year we’re adding some extra fun games, activities, and food trucks! There will also be prizes for the best decorated trunks, so make sure you join in on the fun! Please keep in mind many of our extras will be cash only. All money raised will go back to the PTA to help us fund future activities for our school. If you’d like to donate candy to our event, please drop them off in the front office.

A big focus of the PTA is teacher appreciation and one way we do that is with the Sunshine Cart. We love surprising our teachers and staff with treats during the day delivered right to their classrooms. It’s just one small thing we can do to let them know how appreciative we are of everything they do for our wonderful school.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: SCHOOL AND DISTRICT OFFICE CLOSURES

In light of the anticipated impacts from Tropical Storm Idalia, and to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community, all Alachua County public schools and district offices will be closed on Tuesday, August 29th, and Wednesday, August 30th.

We urge everyone to take necessary precautions and stay informed through official channels. The safety of our community remains our top priority. A decision on when schools will reopen will be announced after the storm has passed and we know schools and travel routes are safe.
