Florida Fencing Academy was founded in 1996 by Brian Harper, an internationally accomplished fencer and coach. We offer children’s programs, adult programs, private instruction, and open bouting in foil, sabre, and epee for every level of interest and experience. I have a passion to sharing the love of fencing. For the past 30 years I have dedicated my life to this sport and it keeps giving back! Our Story
To Coach Brian, fencing is like music -- your body serves as the instrument, you move to the beat, and learn in slow motion. It was this deep understanding and passion for fencing that motivated Brian to open The Florida Fencing Academy back in 1998. Since then, FFA fencers and coaches have been medalists in many local, state, sectional, and national competitions. We treat fencing similar to martial arts: Respect and reverence for the sport are top of mind. At our academy, you’ll work and play alongside other students to grow better together.
