Reach Week registration is open! Reach Week is a week of showing love to our city. There are many different ways to serve - preparing food, washing cars, loving the homeless, showing appreciation to first responders, serving teachers at local schools, construction work, yard work, praying, donating food, and more. There’s something for everyone to do. Register at Therockonline.org/register. Call the office if you have any questions.

Water baptism is an exciting opportunity for a believer to walk in obedience to God’s word and publicly proclaim their faith in Jesus. If you have yet to be water baptized, registration is now open. Once you register, you will receive further instructions and details.

As we approach Mother’s Day, Mary comes to mind. When Jesus was born, angels and shepherds rejoiced and came to see the baby Messiah. Luke 2 tells us Mary “treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart”. When 12-year-old Jesus stayed behind at the temple to teach scholars, Mary “treasured up all these things in her heart.” We can be sure many other situations over the years caused her to treasure up things in her heart to ponder over when she had a moment. She collected moments like one collects seashells. Isn’t it just like God to give us moments so grand and special that you just want to hold onto them for a bit and “treasure them up in your heart?”

Can you picture God as a mighty savior? What about God as a loving father, calming you with his love and singing over you? He’s the same God today as he was in Zephaniah’s time. As much as he loved Israel, he loves you. Your Father is crazy about you. He is a mighty savior, the creator of the universe, and your patient, loving Father. He rejoices over you and holds you close when you’re hurting. He’s never too busy for you and he wants to spend time with you.

Join us this coming Wednesday, May 1, for First Wednesday. It will be a great time of worship, prayer, and testimonies!

As part of Reach Week, beginning May 5th, we're launching a month-long Food Drive to support our local food bank ministry partner, Bread of the Mighty. Every Sunday leading up to June 2nd, we'll be collecting food donations at our church. Drop off your donations in the totes conveniently located near the front doors of the church. If weekdays work better for you, feel free to drop them off at our church offices during the week.

Hebrews 11 is frequently referred to as the Hall of Faith. How cool is that? Wouldn’t you rather be known as a person of faith than be famous? Each introduction begins with, “by faith…” and goes on to detail what each person had faith for. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Jacob, Moses, Rahab, and many others are mentioned here. Not one of them was perfect. The common thread is that they chose, with an act of their will, to believe God over their doubts, fears, and the voices of others. What is God asking you to do? Will you choose to step out “by faith” like those who went before you?

Students—join us tonight at 6:00 pm for “Youth United” at The Rock School auditorium for a night of worship and teaching with youth from all around our city!

Our youth group will gather with other youth groups from around the city to worship in unity and hear a gospel message from our very own Pastor Jamie! Youth United: Night of Worship is set for tomorrow at our South Campus (The Rock School) at 6PM.

What attitude did Jesus have? One of humility and laying down his rights. He had every right to cling to and use the power and privilege that came with his divine reality, but he chose not to. When we fully adopt the attitude Jesus demonstrated, we’ll work differently, drive differently (ouch), love differently, and even pray differently. What steps can you take to adopt a Christ-like attitude today?

As Moses & the Israelites were leaving Egypt, the army of Egypt began to chase them. Moses instructed the Israelites to stand still and watch the Lord rescue them. “The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Being still can be so hard. We might be tempted to offer God our help. ‘God, are you sure you don’t want me to pick up a sword? No? Oh, OK.’ When he says he’ll take care of it, he WILL take care of it. If we stand back in obedience and see him fight the battle for us, there will be zero room for doubt that God did what he said he would do. In this particular instance, God took care of the problem so completely that the Egyptians never bothered the Israelites again. That problem at work that you can’t see a solution to? God already has the answer. The finances that seem so tight you don’t see a way out? God has the solution. What are you believing God for today?

Every week while parents are worshiping, kids have their own services in TR Kids and JAM. They worship, play games, and have a lesson geared to their age level. 🔦This month’s TR Kids theme is “Shine”. 🔦It looks like so much fun! 🏕️
