It's amazing what you amass in terms of tools that you take for granted - until they are gone. Somehow (either through human error or a precariously closed tailgate) I lost my hammer drill bag along with hundreds of various bits. $450 later I'm close to being back to where I was. Every specialty bit (like my rasp bits) had a story. Guess its time to write some new stories!

To say it's a unique time in the construction/remodeling business is an understatement. Months instead of days or weeks waiting for materials, shortage of people to do the job, and inflation make our jobs more like "conflict resolvers" as opposed to tradesmen. Now this. I get it, but will others follow suit and tack on a percentage? Stay tuned!

Hey Morons...if your drain pipe sticks out past the sole plate, ya think the drywall may bow just a little? Idiots.

Usually don't do my Irish jig until Friday in celebration of the weekend. But the jigging started early this week with the morticing of door hinges. All new interior doors can give your home a totally new look and we make it easy to switch out the old for the new.

Most of you know The Handyman For You is a one-man show. Dead men, feed extensions - all a part of getting the job done solo. But today he had some much appreciated help. Mrs. Handyman For You joined the team and helped bang out 210 lineal feet of crown molding. A godsend on those 16 foot runs and so much better to look at than a Deadman! Thanks honey, onto painting!

Tools are like old friends. And even some times we have to say goodbye to old friends. After nearly 10 years, I lost my favorite razor knife. May my Irwin R.I.P. or treat someone else as well! Welcome Dewey (as in DeWalt) to my circle of friends.
