UF Health was recently awarded a five-year, $3.6 million award from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to support malaria eradication and elimination efforts. This research is led by Rhoel Dinglasan, Ph.D., M.P.H., a professor of infectious diseases at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. The new center, ÉMERGENTS, will aim to learn more information about malaria in an attempt to eradicate this deadly disease.

Khanna’s entrepreneurial spirit has led her to create several startups, she hopes to encourage young scientists to explore their entrepreneurship. Robin Bell is a clinical professor and equine sports medicine specialist at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He is also a veterinary specialist at the UF Veterinary Hospital at World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
