This project will be integral in providing much-needed transportation grid improvements and will also provide new neighborhood-scale retail/office uses to serve the immediate area.

This project, known as Veve, is a mixed-use traditional neighborhood development that will provide healthcare services, retail uses and a cottage neighborhood which prioritizes the pedestrian over cars by orienting the units internally toward community green spaces rather than parking lots. These units will also offer a housing option that promotes affordability. eda is proud to be associated with this project, having provided land planning, surveying and engineering services from start to finish.

As reported in The Gainesville Sun, a new nursing college will be located in Gainesville. The Galen College of Nursing will establish a program on the former Infinite Energy campus on SW 24th Avenue and will begin training students to enter the nursing workforce this year. eda was privileged to have assisted Galen in working with Alachua County rezone this property to accommodate this nursing program, which will directly benefit our local healthcare system.

eda is hiring experienced AutoCAD/Civil 3D Designers for our Gainesville, Florida office. Our production team at our growing civil engineering practice needs enthusiastic drafters willing to jump in and contribute. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, able to work with minimal direction on multiple projects at once, and considers themselves a CAD expert.
Candidates should be experienced in the design of stormwater systems, roadways, parking lots, utility infrastructure, and subdivisions. They should know how to perform civil 3D modeling of tin surfaces and pipe networks, and be familiar with relevant industry standards, methods, and practices. Experience in the civil engineering field is preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is required. Prospective candidates will complete a short exercise to demonstrate their level of software ability.
