Meet the Foundation's newest Board member, Marie Schiraldi-Cattau, pictured here in the middle at a Shen-Hammer Pulse training last weekend with board Secretary Gryphon Corpus and Vice Chair Tracy Soltesz.

Marie was introduced to Dr. Hammer's lifework through the Clinical Integration teachings of one of Leon's first students, Chinese Medicine scholar Lonny Jarrett. She is actively studying the Shen-Hammer Pulse with the Foundation's immediate past Chair Ryan Diener and Tracy Soltesz.

Marie will serve in the role of Treasurer. We are so delighted to have Marie on board.

Students will learn the terminology unique to the Shen-Hammer pulse system including the five categories of common qualities while beginning to develop their palpatory skills through hands-on exploration of the large segments of the pulse and the 28 individual primary and complementary positions. Certified pulse instructors provide direct and extensive hands-on feedback!⁠

A Weekly Pulse Course starting January 2024

As I have endeavored to learn pulse diagnosis over the past decade-plus, I’ve found how the most important aspect in this learning is consistency. For we learn, as Dr Hammer said, “through repetition.” When we regularly and humbly return to the pulse, its limitless possibilities begin to reveal themselves to us. Shen-Hammer pulse diagnosis is the cornerstone of my clinical practice, and I look forward to sharing all that I have gathered —and anything we gather together— with you.

My goal with this course is to make our pulse diagnosis system truly integrated and settled into each participants fingertips.

In class, we will focus on what some call the basics and what others refer to as the most advanced aspects of learning Shen-Hammer Pulse Diagnosis! We just opened registration this week and there are three spaces left.
