Supporting Remote Video Production

Our client handles remote video production and sends large video files all over the world from the road. He needed a solution that would have the bandwidth available to run live streams and send raw video footage and production sequences out to his encoders, home studio, and other video producers.

This first responder group was deploying mobile and remote cameras to help support their safety initiatives in their communities. They needed a reliable solution that would keep them connected to their remote camera stations and provide static IPs for each mobile unit.

We started with a demo of T-Mobile and AT&T FirstNet bonding, which achieved more than enough bandwidth for mobile camera operations. Our team then retrofitted their six remote camera systems with a Transit Duo Pro + Mobility 42G Antenna for high-gain cellular connectivity and dual carrier support - which improved upload performance by 20x! To create static IPs for each camera, we deployed 6x Fusion Hubs, each with its own public IP, and created a VPN tunnel between the camera trailer and the Fusion Hub. This created a single static public IP with inbound port forwarding directly to the camera controller, regardless of the internet connectivity of a specific carrier.
